My brother has his RR Sport in that colour, in fact he has colour coded (aka chavved it up!) it all over. However, it looks sooo much better on the Aston. If someone had said an Aston in Vesuvius Orange I would have laughed, but honestly 100 times better on the Aston
Broughtons have a Bentley for sale in a similar colour just up the road from me and it looks st!
Very car dependent

Now then...this thread has been a bit of an eye opener.
A V12V is to be ordered in 2 weeks, and I still have no idea regarding colour.
I have some sympathies with those that suggest that the sheer numbers of cars in a variety of greys / silvers are a bit dull, but the dealer I went to took it as far as saying, "We'll sell you whatever colour you would like...as long as it is grey" adding.."if you want Sunburst or Magma, you might like to go elsewhere to place your order"
All to do with he dealer being asked a year or two after selling a car in those colours to resell, and having to discount the price.
Anyone else had this put to them?

I'd do exactly as they say....... and go to a different dealer hehe. What happened to 'the customer is always right'?

1st: Never buy anything from such a dull dealer
2nd: Never forget: you pay ... so you tell them what YOU want
3nd: Never think of resale ... buying a supercar is a "waste of money" anyway, so it is negligible if the waste is a bit more or a bit less
4th: Never worry ... enjoy the car and be happy smile

And is the dealer so stupid that they are prepared to lose all that commission on the new car sale just because they might make a bit less IF you, at some time in the future, ask them to take it back in part ex or whatever?!

That's absurd. My car is Onyx, but because I think it looks great, not because of any thoughts of resale or because the dealer dissuaded me from something else. Much as I love Onyx, and think the greys and silvers look really good, I love to see them in a variety of colors -- it would be boring if they were all (almost) the same.

Call his bluff -- order it in whatever color you want, and see if he declines to sell you a car. Or simply go elsewhere.

Well looking at your profile / location I can guess which dealer. When I bought my V8Vantage (pre owned)from them last year (Meteorite) got told by the Sales Director of that dealership they always advise customers on choice of colours - Silver / Grey/ Black as he can then part ex them easily. However, like everyone else would tell him you are quite happy to place an order elsewhere. They have forgotten who the customer is!

Would quite happily buy another Aston that wasn't Grey. Its good to see them in other colours these days as IMO its all getting a bit predictable. Having seen the V12Vantage in Magma have to say it looks stunning.

When I was going to buy a new V8V the sales guy at HWM did his utmost to dissuade me from my chosen colour scheme, even jokingly suggesting he wouldn't take me to Gaydon to spec' my car if I didn't accept that my scheme of Almond Green with Chancellor Red leather and thick yellow stitching was a bad idea. I wanted the interior to be like a Dr Martin boot. biglaugh

Could be that they are worried you will default on the order. They are stuck with a car they have to discount more heavily than the deposit.

That said, they could just ask for a bigger deposit but perhaps that is against AML policy.

HWM were the chaps in question in my case too. It will be interesting to see how they will react during the Gaydon visit should I go for what they would deem an "inappropriate colour..."

ye get something different.....Aston Martin Racing Green..!!!!!..the only way to go..!!!

then again i'am biased...;);)
I must admit that this is my favourite colour by far and i'm always suprised that there aren't many about. Is it a high cost option?

I've generally thought that racing green is to Aston's what red is to Ferrari.

So, why isn't it that common?

If i buy one this is the colour i will look for without doubt....

With the abundance of grey coloured cars, I doubt you'll be able to sell it with a premium.

I'd go for the blue from your choice of 3, and although I don't fancy most green colours (Verde Ithaca on a Lambo is the exception), I would probably get any aston in that green Aston colour (no idea what it's called). It just suits the general Aston design, and it's rare.
