How about an Aston photo thread!

Adding to what RichB rightly says it also has slightly softer cams and Solex PHH44 carburettors for better low speed performance. This one now has a 4 speed ZF autobox from a Jaguar XJR with 2 stage kickdown and a Quicksilver exhaust, it is every bit as quick as a manual in a straight line. And with recently rebuilt de Dion rear and modified front suspension and steering it hustles well for a big heavy car. It also has modern Jag Mark X racing brakes so stops well too

IMHO Aston missed a trick not badging the current Rapide as a Lagonda. As an elongated and lithe version of the sporty 2+2 it is the spiritual successor of this car.
Totally agree but then Bez was in control at the time so probably had no idea of the heritage... Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
