Great vid of the DBX on track. Impetus to bring my Vantage on track in Feb once I get brake pads sorted. What are the two dials in the centre console reading?
Glad you enjoyed it! I’m sure I’ll take it out on track again at some point now I’ve had more seat time in the car.BHP & torque the main reason is that it gives an engine oil readout in C so useful to keep an eye of on track. Doesn’t get above 95c very often during in road spirited driving and rarely above 90c when just pootling about.
You do get an onscreen oil temp garage but annoying only in “track mode”(same as the vantage. Although unlike the vantage there is no denominations, just a bar.

Big respect for that - looks like good fun on track!
I must admit, although I do a lot of track days I haven't dared take the Vantage on yet. The consumables cost is massive (I'm getting through rear tyres in ~4k road miles as it is) and I don't fancy the risk of losing the factory warranty or binning it!
Yep that can be the issue. I’ve done 3 days in my NSX so far, clocked over 6k miles and the carbon ceramics are still going strong. Now that will be a big bill when they need to be changed!I must admit, although I do a lot of track days I haven't dared take the Vantage on yet. If you can afford it, I would always say take your car on track. So nice to drive them fully uncorked.

Not sure how you get through rear tyres at that rate Scott. My rear Michelin PS4S are just about done at 14K miles which is pretty good given lots of fast road driving and a couple of track days. Sure, your New Vantage has more torque but 4K is a bit extreme. Are the Pirellis super soft or is the dealer changing them when they've got 4mm of tread left?V8V Pete said:

I think the Pirelli's are soft and I generally don't rate them all round. I've heard other new Vantage owners with the same issue, both times mine were changed they were down to just over 2mm and had well and truly 'gone off'. I'm waiting to get it on Michelin PS4S, however this time round couldn't get my hands on the full set. The latest set on it are Ferrari marked Pirelli's (no AML available as they've stopped making them) so I'll see if that makes any difference. In hindsight I should have waited and got the full Michelin set - that's incredible mileage you've managed from yours from similar usage.
Always rated Michelin PS4s on my cars. That Vantage F1 ive had on loan has the Pirelli P zeros and just not a fan. If I bought one I'd be swapping the tyres out immediatley for Michelin items. Shrimpvende said:
