If you pay more do they match the colour too biggrin (to be fair it could just be the photography. But be picky when you pick it up)
Well I assume because I asked them to paint it, they would use any colour apart from black....perhaps hammerite silver and...ermm, yes we did get the colour-blind novice doing the work. Hence discount.

Doh!

Hmmm, so I could save a couple of hundred by buying a black car and not having the louvres painted ? Excellent, it all helps the business case... hehe Looks great, by the way.
Ah yes but said business case gets stuffed if you want contrasting front/rear air diffusers on a black car.

Maybe a silly question but did you take much of a financial 'hit' with the exchange?

I think you can look at it in a multitude of ways but in technical financial - investment banker speak where derivatives and side-margin back to back calls are the norm....

Errr. YES!

The justification I put to myself (apart from I really did want the V12V regardless of whatever) was on analysis ( rolleyes ):-

a) I can say hand on heart I got nailed for the VAT. This is going to happen on any new car purchase as soon as you roll off the forecourt. Period.
b) I lost another 4k off that between new and P/X value with the dealer.
c) Should have bought the V12V back in December instead of a new V8. However, thought V12V's were seriously over priced then.
d) I think they are a serious bargain right now.

Live and learn as we go, we know we don’t buy Astons to make money and I guess I’ll be in poor servitude for yet another year.

My Mrs. is only beginning to get this. She recently noticed that every time that I drive the car, I come in with a big grin. She doesn't quite understand it, but she does acknowledge that it was worth it.

Looks brilliant with the painted vents. I tested one today - like Evo says - it's the best car AM makes. Period. Good choice.

Polar8 - AML must love you as one of their few customers that is working themselves through their range. I think you have arrived now with the V12 Vantage - enjoy.
