to large - not very comfortable on our 3rd world roads in town here in Germany and i am always scared to get the car scratched - all in all that spoils a bit the pleasure of driving here - perhaps i am getting old and like my friend Adrian says: i am ready for Cardigan, Pipe and Slippers wink

If only Aston would listen to customers like yourself and maybe release some kind of city car for you to compliment your DBS............. wink

Considering that the top of the range Jag is half the price of the DBS and that they are buildt next to each other in Gaydon one has to ask oneselves what the profit margin is the AML.
Eh? The XK is built at the Jagur factory at Castle Bromwich. Not sure where you got that from.
Ok - 30 miles up the road. I think you got the point - now get your anorak. And Jaguar is spelled with an "a".

Oh ho! Missing "a" in typo invalidates point shocker! Well if you're gonna throw a wobbly about it I hear that "built" doesn't usually have a "D" in it. Touche sir.

I didn't actually get your point which was why I asked. Maybe there was something I didn't know? A similarity between the chassis or change in build process I wasn't aware of. Turns out not, so two differnt cars, not based on the same platform built(d) in different factories by different companies is what we have. Not sure you can conclude that Aston must be creaming the profits on that basis, no doubt the XK will benefit from greater economies of scale and automation than Aston can achieve with the DBS.

I strongly recommend:

Better to think before writing...

In other words, nobody wants to read this kind of postings!

Huh? Have I made a boo boo here? No intention to offend on my part, don't know how I did? If so, my apologies.
