V8 Vantage, do the engines ever fail?

Strange one and long shot i know but im looking to pick up a cheap V8 vantage for a project, engine failure or maybe had a fire if not to bad, do these ever come up? anyone knows of anything let me know.

As little as possible, depends on the car tbh. engine is of no use to me so one with a blown lump would be perfect.

Anyone has anything feel free to email details and what sort of money you want.

There are (were?) valve train issues that caused dropped valves at sustained high RPM.
