Hi,

Can you folks please advise where the nearest indie is in the Warrington area?

Cheers,

How far cross country is Derby? :-)

Only has to be an hour from Warrington at the most.. is it?

If so then I'd seriously consider DMS in Derby.

I think your only other choice locally might be the AM dealer in Wilmslow.

Well, more like 2 hours but that isn't too bad. It used to take me nearly one hour to get to Hartech with the 911's......

What is a rough indication of price difference indie and AM dealer when it comes to servicing etc?

1.5hrs A50/M6; why not try the official AM dealer in Derby?
If you are happy to travel to Derby, i can vouch that Stratstone in Derby will accomodate your servicing/repairs. Prices will be competitive but more importantly all servicing/repairs are carried out by competent Aston Martin Trained Technicians with a wealth of experience accredited by the Manufacturer. Forget Rick the Trick, go for the real thing and get peace of mind with the Manufacturer's blessing.

To AMLD can I just say here on the Aston Martin thread we are generally polite courteous and back biting is at an absolute minimum, now you have not made many posts so you can be forgiven your slightly internet warrior approach this once.I have used both AM wilmsow and DMS,both have been efficient and easy to deal with but it is horses for courses and Rick has an hourly rate which many of us prefer and has proven himself on this site many times. If you have anything to back up your Rick the Trick comment why not enlighten us all, but you do smack of a business rival here.

So lets get the facts out on this thread then:

Whats the labour rate at Aston Martin Derby these days?

Are you a just a dealer tech who works at AM Derby, trying to drum up work, or someone more senior there, who is authorised to speak online behalf of the company as an "official" representative? e.g would they be happy for us to call up and quote your comments, or print them out and take them in as an "official" binding price quote?

....we dont have time for petty games on here....lets be upfront please - everyone else is quite plain and clear about who/what they are and what services they offer to us owners/potential customers

When you say AM Wilmslow have dropped their labour rates, do you have an approx figure / Percentage?

I might call them tomorrow actually and just ask them right out!

How much for an Oil/Filter service on a DB7 GT?

See what they say :-)
