Cars into Strats for a warranty pre inspection next week and was told they are desperate for used stock. My car is June 06 so due a warranty and an MOT not due a service till end of summer.

I planned to warranty it and use it this summer and sell in September however if I get a decent offer from strats I may sell it.

I`ve just ordered a Jag XFR for delivery this month and the master plan was to sell the Volante and sit ready to pounce on a credit crunch / inept government / stock market crash bargain whenever that may transpire (thinking late Volante / poss DBS if Telecoms are not hit hard in the meltdown)

I will certainly miss the summer without it but it may be good business to deal now, anyhoo all depends on the offer - anyone want to guess ?

DB9 Volante June 06, 36k, blue / cream not a swirl on it (Zymol Royale coated). Recent (last Sept) sportpack wheels, tyres and red calipers.

Hi, can't be much help on your question but I was wondering what the warranty extension cost is?

For what its worth, I think nobody but yourself can answer your question. Do you need the money? Will you mind the loss of another year's depreciation? Do you like the car or want to try something else? Those would be the elements running through my mind in your position, alas I am a buyer myself at the moment (not DB9 Volante though).

I went through the same exercise when my wifes Range Rover was up for warrnty renewal. Initially the bid was ok'ish, but after some reflection there was no pint in getting a newer model as the change over price was still in excess of 40k and at the end we decided to keep the "old" one.
