For V8 Vantage MY11 at least, and apparently for V12 Vantage as well! Thanks James for the suggestions. Spread the word!

Just to confuse. DB9 11MY still uses fuse 22 as exhaust valve control.

Does fuse 22 (or 15 in a couple of years time...) need to be IN for the MOT?

I've just taken mine out and have MOT coming up at the end of the month.

It depends on the tester TBH. I would put it back in just for the test, then take it back out on the forecourt before you drive away with the green test certificate in your hand evil

No it does not. There is no noise limits for MOT tests, only emissions and I don't think fuse 22 will make any difference or fail you on emissions.

I can be definitive, on my 2012MY DBS Volante it is definitely fuse 15, a 5A fuse in the middle of the front row of the fusebox on the left hand side of the boot. Fuse 20 has been in and out more times than.............and I was fooling myself that there was a subtle change. When you get it right there is no subtlety at all, it's obvious, it's noisy and exciting. It makes driving more fun, but I think that when cruising along a motorway the incessant roar every time that you increase revs whilst mid-range cruising will probably get timesome. This may be why AM in their wisdom incorporated a quiet period between 1,500 and 4,000 revs! It is certainly why I am getting a switched fuse rather than leaving it out permanently! biggrinwink
