Hi there

On the sat nav upgrade can't say I've noticed any difference (but then I probably wouldn't unless I ran them side by side) but when I checked the system data I think it said 2011-12 which isn't that up to date. So I'd check the details with Reading before you commit.

MPG, same as others, 19-20 on mix of town and motorways. Had a good run up to Anglesey along the A5 for the holidays, FX50 went very well. Also got quite a few looks up there as not at all common.

The warranty was GBP720 for a year, but you could get greater discount and avoid the inspection fee if you bought 2 years. I checked with Warranty Direct as well for comparison and it was about the same but they would cover wear and tear. I hope that as Reading recommend this policy and I have paid them for it will give me sufficient leverage should any problems arise.

Think someone should go for the Quicksilver exhaust Reading are offering to fit for GBP1100. Really does sound good.......I couldn't get the Mrs to sign off.

Thanks Wookietaff, I will call them tomorrow to double check what mapping upgrade I will get.

The warranty situation is an odd one really, when I called warranty direct before I collected the car they couldn't match the price Reading had quoted. Reading in turn have quoted (verbally) more than you have paid for a year but I have avoided the inspection cost as I am having it serviced. Need to get hold of the service manager tomorrow to sort this out!

I would love the quicksilver upgrade but with the Griffith needing wishbones, rebuilt diff and a major service the war office is unlikely to sanction such madness..

61 reg one at copleys, thing is no warranty just the remainder of the factory warranty about 3 months but it's only done 16k
They want shut, let's see how much ;-)

Update - They (as a LR dealer) cant get any sort of decent FGV (future value) on the car after three years they have £10k so thats a 6 year old one at £10k as its just under 3 years now. As such a PCP is a none starter - maybe an Infinity dealer is more likely to offer a better FGV but they dont have any cars that appeal.

Did any of you chaps get a PCP? (I know PH we are all mnted company directors and no one takes out finance ;o) PM me if any joy please.

They want £29k - a PCP is a no go as its GFV is very low so ive left it with the request they call me if they are sending it to auction, we can have a last haggle. Probably the worst time to get a 4*4 and sell a cabrio so may hold on, the Murano is still brilliant so cant complain. Cabrio going in the trader this week.

Have you seem that Leeds have reduced the grey 59 plate they have had in stock for ages? There is also a new white 60 plate one I think with Reading.

Yes - the grey one is pre pre facelift and I have to have the electric hatch, ideally I want a blue or black one but no hurry - the one at stratstones makes me laugh it's come down thousands and a few hundred every week.
One major thing putting some people off will be the lack of a factory used warranty on such a complicated car.

Edit Stratstone car just dropped under £22k for 60 plate it's just a bit leggy with a god knows what warranty

Just a thought, why don't you ask if it's possible to retrofit the powered tailgate, it would open up a lot more cars to choose from?

Merc went up for sale on the trader yesterday, got 2 serious sounding private buyers coming at the weekend which amazed me (5.0 cabrio in January).

The dealer with the Infinity obviously noticed it and called me with a "deal" of late 2011 car, 16k miles 4 new tyres, infinity service and valet for £27k which has interested me.

I am surprised it needs 4 tyres on 16k though!!

If the Merc goes I will probably do that deal and join you all.

Sounds a reasonable deal. Which dealer is it?

Not many black ones - its at perrys land rover with rubbish pictures and poor description. How can the tyre be worn on 16k (all 4) it must have been hammered

When I looked into buying mine I was told more than once that they are surprisingly easy on tyres and it hadn't been uncommon to see cars on original sets of tyres having covered 30,000 miles. This was the case with mine.

I have just got the car back from Reading following its service and other work. The service was not quite what I expected...

T5GRF what was the issue with service? I had mine done at Reading. First service. relatively efficient and reasonable price. Not in Lexus league but not bad.
I do think they have a way to go if they want to be on a par with lexus etc. its small things that make a difference at this level.

Please elaborate as I'm swaying into cayenne territory.
