Hi, apologies for the delay in responding, recovering from a shoulder op so had forgotten all about this.I have the same net, however my brother is missing one from his QX70. Do you have a price in mind including P&P and I can pass the information on?
If you wish to send me a PM that would be great.
Thanks, Paul
Servicing question...
Anyone had their Infiniti serviced at one of the approved Nissan dealers? My QX70 diesel is coming up for needing a service and I'm torn between taking it to Infiniti Authorised Repairer Network (a Nissan dealer which is the other side of London, and a PITA to get to and from) or trying an indie.
There's an indie near(ish) me that specialises in Nissan 350Z and 370Z. Since the QX is a 370Z underneath and has a reasonably common Renault/Nissan engine I figured it wouldn't be an utterly barking idea.
Any suggestions/experiences?

I was just wondering the same for a QX70. Infiniti Reading has obviously closed down, and Nissan Reading won't do the service, suggesting I go to Slough. Infiniti refunded my original EMAC service plan fortunately/unfortunately so looking at higher costs now for both major and minor service going through the approved Nissan route. So looking for good Independents near Reading literally at the moment.
Any suggestions? There must be a few owners near by in similar predicament as it was one of the few dealers. Used to be right next to work so last year couldn't have been easier! How times change!

Well, this forums got me sold. Ive had a CLK 320 CDI for the last 5 years (Consultant, so run big mileage).
Just brought a FX30d To replace both the merc and a disastorous Discovery 4 which the garage had more than me.
Quick question, im looking at using a Racechip module on this once were settled in (Bad experience with 2 x remaps and premature faliures). I know its doubtful, but any owners out there with siilar setup and experience?

FX30d owner in Berkshire here - I took the plunge and had mine serviced at Nissan in Slough in July. Overall pleasant and satisfactory experience - nothing to complain about so I plan to use again in future.Anyone had their Infiniti serviced at one of the approved Nissan dealers? An issue has just reared its head on my 2010 FX.
The cameras (front & rear) have stopped working. The car has "Around View Monitor" so cameras dotted around the exterior. Putting the car into reverse doesn't engage the rear camera. Pressing the camera switch on the dash console doesn't now turn on the front camera.
I can't see any noticeable damage to the camera modules & there was no intermittent issues; the cameras simply stopped working.
Any ideas? Could be a fuse?

Just an update on this, for any who are interested. I ended up taking the local independent route for the service. Not even the Z specialist in the end; just a local owner-run garage with a good reputation and trading history. It seems to have been a good decision; they carried out a full major service (which was what was required) and it cost many hundreds of £ less than the Nissan dealer would have charged. As far as I am concerned, they have done an excellent job.Anyone had their Infiniti serviced at one of the approved Nissan dealers? The mechanic who runs the garage wasn't thrown by the unusualness of the car at all. In fact he explained how many bits of it he'd seen before on various Nissans and Renaults...! Coincidentally enough he had a 350Z in for servicing that day as well.
So if anyone is based in SW London (Fulham sort of way) and would like a local garage recommendation for servicing on a FX or QX70, or indeed any other Infiniti, drop me a PM and I'll let you know their details.

Sounds like a successful experience. I’ll gladly take their details for future reference please. I would rather have multiple options in the South East area to choose from given I’m already having to travel west down the M4 from Reading. The mechanic who runs the garage wasn't thrown by the unusualness of the car at all. hi guys, bought my 2013 fx 30d s premium back last august and im shocked how good it is,good mpg, reliable and different to anything else out there,my car has only covered 42,000 miles and the previous owner used to post on here.Just a few questions for you diesel fx owners,i find at idle engine feels a little harsh but soon as you pull away its fine is this normal,In rain and dry car handles superb but when cold and slippery it feels nervous,im sure its just the 21" tyres as it tram lines quite badly too,but gets better when tyres get warmth into them. Will post some pics soon as the car is in lovely condition and previous owner painted mirrors and side gills in gloss black which looks fantastic.

Welcome Simon. Where in the UK are you? stay safe everyone simon
I can relate to the behaviours you have described above. Very much looking forward to warmer weather as the FX feels more sprightly, planted and generally better suited to those conditions.
Looking forward to seeing the pics - I need to upload some too as have some tasteful ‘mods’ which you might like.
Hi all, hope it's ok to jump in on this thread. I've just bought a 2012 FX30D, and am trying to find a garage in the South Manchester area that I can trust. Ive not heard good things about Westway Nissan in Stockport and I'd really like to take it to someone with experience of the Nissan 3 litre diesel or 350/370Z, or at the very least someone who will bother to research cars he may not have experience of before he works on them. Are there any Infiniti owners in the Manchester area who can recommend garage? Cheers

Welcome aboard. I’m down south so afraid I can’t help you on that one. Maybe there are more 350/370 owners in the forum who could offer some suggestions? Good luck!Sorry for radio silence guys,im in devon and own my own workshop so we have serviced my fx 3.0d and its all very simple to do,the main fuel filter which is an expensive little blighter is situated under a little panel on the nearside front floor area behind the wheel arch, there is a bleeding procedure to adhere to and you should have a primer pump in under the boot floor. Will post some pics up shortly for you but the car is really going extremely well and even though i might sell as got too many cars lol its been a fanatstic car for the money.
cheers simon
