After a couple of months of deliberation I've finally bitten the bullet and put the MX-5 up for sale. Next on the list is an Elise of some description. Everyone thinks I'll be bored of it in no time, I'm fairly confident it'll be the right move as I'm more into handling at the moment anyway. Add to the fact it'll be a weekend toy, I should be OK for a while...

How many folks here have gone from an Elise to something Japanese or done the same as me and sold an MX-5 and bought a Lotus? The Elise looks like the logical progression from the MX-5 from where I'm sat. What are people's impressions of the Elise compared to the MX-5?

My car's up for sale on here if anyone's interested. It's in the Classifieds MX-5 section funnily enough

Well, I have my MX5 and Fish has his 111R all I can say is.... the Elise is sooo much better than the MX5, it's like driving a go-kart, and it is so responsive.

Ta Mrs. Fish. I'll be asking some more specific Q's in the Elise forum. I'm thinking more of a 111S or a Sport 160 and putting some Nitron suspension on it. If it's too slow, there's always the Honda transplant

Have seen 1 or 2 Elise's make good use of NOS gas.Kit fitted with+50bhp jets will set you back around £600.(11-ltr tank will fit in the engine bay no prob)

Good luck to you Phil, the MX5 communitys loss is the elises communitys gain.

Whoever buys your car is in for a hell of a lot of fun.

Keep in touch.

Cheers Ben. Sold it yesterday - the first guy that came to see it bought it. Now the Elise hunt starts...
