No scraped knuckles at all, as I'm paying someone else to do it. I shall probably assist with the bits that I can.

The down pipe is from the turbo back and bends around to the flexi section of the exhaust. And in keeping with everything else on this car, it's a bit more complex and interesting than it should be, and corrispondinly more expensive.

You know this feeling, I'm sure.

Does ring a bell!

They sure thought 'outside the box'when they designed those '4s'-personally I like that kind of thing,- tho can be a bit of a pain sometimes when you just want to get on.Can't have it all I guess.

Took the box and threw it away. They thought "We need to build a car to win the WRC" and then did so.

Hence the staggering price new (32K I think - 10 years ago).

Shame they were banned for cheating.....

What did they do?

I'd call it a "clever interpretation of the rules".

FIA called it "the most devious bit of cheating we've ever seen".

Put bluntly, the rules stated that the intake restrictors should be no bigger than 38mm on inspection.

On inspection they were. As soon as you put the airbox back together they snapped open. And there were other ways of getting air into the engine as well.....

Cunning.

Got them a 2 year ban.

Downpipe and cat replacement.

Runs from the hot side of the turbo (the bloody gasket was 20 quid) to the flexi section of the exhaust.
