Does your car sometimes scare the sh*t out of you, or am I the only one that sometimes finds the '2 incredibly frustrating to keep pointing exactly where I want it to go?

It might be something to do with the size of the wheels... In fact it's probably everything to do with the size of the wheels, but whenever it's on a long, sweeping bend, it feels very twitchy and, well, just not planted.

It also seems to latch on to funny cambers and wants to follow them off the road and into the scenery, which can be quite worrying if it happens suddenly.

I thought they fixed all that stuff with the Rev3... Clearly not! Anybody else suffer from some degree of uneasiness with their MR2?

Its scares the bejesus out of me.

(But only because I always think something is broken!)

I must admit, it doesnt instill confience in high speed sweepers.

Not really.

When i had P6000's it was bloody awful, but Pilot Sports are a revelation.

What tyres have you got?

I did have pilot sports but it used to tramline on those (or it could have been the sh*t state of the wheels). I have F1s now.

I'm going to mention the brake calipers to the specialist on wednesday.

I've heard the wheel alignment is a specialist job, so I presume the mechanics could do this too?

I must admit, I'd never even been in a mid engined car before the MRT, so I was unsure what to expect.

I love it though!

Also, may I suggest a geometry check and also see if your brake calipers are sticking?

As for the sticking caliper issue - Sorted that meself with a blowtorch and a hammer a few months back.

Scared? eh? it scares my old dear when shes in it, but shes used to a yaris so i can understand that. haha, but i wouldnt ever say ive found it scarey. I think its brilliant, once you have practiced and made it break loose so that you know how it and you will react it really is a fantastic way of gettin around. I would honestly say that to make the most of it it needs to be driven hard and you need to know what to expect. Push too hard, the engine will drag you backwards into the nearest hard thing, but if you are always nervous that is even worse i think.

I have done a lot of karting and done pretty well all over the country and i would say that the MR2 is the closest thing to it ive ever driven on the road. gutted im gunna have to sell it to make space for a new company car, dammit!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get yourself to a track or a drift day and push it to where you are happy with, i reckon you will smile much more after that.
