The S2000's rear wheel drive?! gosh how have i managed to handle all that power, i knew i should have bought an MX-5!
sorry couldn't resist a little sarcasm there.
It's quite simple the S2000 has a very pointy chassis which is designed for summer driving (it being a convertible) in the dry it's almost impossible to upset it (if you're on the right tyres at the right pressures, and don't drive like a twit) On wet or cold roads there is less grip so you have to slow down a bit.
if you want a car that is fast in all weathers buy a scooby or evo.

Hi. Just bought a Jan 2004 S2000 GT (don't worry, the top's coming off soon) in blue/blue, as new, 7,600 mls, with Becker satnav, 6 CD + headrest speakers. £23k. That seem a fair price?? Replaced a Boxster after 4 years, and I'm still making up my mind which one I enjoy(ed) most - but they're too different to compare!!
Blast,
are you a member on s2uk?www.s2kuk.com/s2kuk/index.php
If not you should be. Great info on every aspect of the s2000 , including insurance discounts and service discounts. Lots of meets too on www.s2ki.com/. I am off to France next month for one

with that peaky engine, I wouldn't be surprised if they had floored it all the way round the roundabout.. only for it to finally come on-cam and woosh....
as said, they've apparently tamed the 'twitchyness' in the later rev cars.. anyone know if this is at the expense of it's agility??
Slight over-generalisation there.....that's like saying nearly all MX-5s I've seen are probably driven by hairdressers.
What you describe is possible but you'd need to be pretty clumsy (in an 02 car anyway).

Just make sure some joker called Jamie doesn't try to sell you his aftermarket alloys though.... they're made of granite apparently!
But make sure you ask him about the blue passport....you will get a free beer

Well this thread soon started talking B0ll0cks!
There are a couple of blown S2k's in this country.
One of which is for sale at the moment.
Who rattled your cage Tim? Oh yes, S2Ki is down AGAIN!! It's off the road more often than an S2k in the wet these days
I've only heard of one Turbo'd S2k - Andrew Dohertys as you say for sale at the mo. There are a few SC cars, but again, very rare in the UK.
Not sure where you got the B0ll0cks bit from :?
