You'll be pleased to know that I have just examined my replacement clutch and flywheel, and I'm very happy indeed with it.

What clutch did you go for? My ACT XT has given up the ghost after 1 year

I have been hearing good things about spec clutches, so I have been looking at them. A carbon stage 3 should hold the power.

HKS stage 2 organic plate mated to a HKS lightened flywheel.

Looks like a quality bit of kit.

Same flywheel as im using Mr E. Very light and very strong. Dosent affect the idle or pulling away either.
In short a good mod to improve 0 to 60's by a small marging.

Good stuff. I want it more to increase the engine response when I blip the throttle to be honest. Makes heel/toeing easier.

How is the beast these days old chum?

Well the water pump decided to leak like a seive, so im at the stage of considering to fix it in situ or take out the engine/box and start the rebuild earlier than anticipated....
I already have the pistons, ARP head bolts and main bearing bolts, so that leaves the rods, bearings, manifold (ex) and all the associated gasketry that goes with a job like this.
Think ill remove the TVIS system and put a homebuilt plenum/runners on it along with a bigger throttle body while im at it.
Heck, in for a penny, in for a pound eh?

oops must get a clutch too.

Definatly agree there, been hunting for a new contract. Had a money scare but I have a new contract starting Monday.

I'd love to do some upgrades...
