Depends how much of the 600bhp is developed by the NO. If its got 150bhp jets on it, its not exactly impressive.

Seems a bit overpriced to me.

Looks nice tho imo, those engines are really tough & can easily handle the 600+ brake.Agree it seems very over priced.Quite interesting tho massive t88 plus the nos gas-works well as a charge cooler too

A bit Fast n Furious for my liking. The Supra is a damn fine looking motor as stock. Any £$£$ invested in a Supra should be under the bonnet (and brakes, apparently, Gazboy? ).

All IMO of course.

I really do like the TT Supra, and the hint of reliability it would bring when compared to my recent steeds.

But the interior? Oh dear. Does anything compare to a TVR? Has anyone ever done anything tasteful to a Supra interior?

I've seen 600bhp in an AUTO supra with no internal mods!

I would imagine the NO2 is just to spool the Turbo.

A T88 on an autobox will be pretty laggy even with a high stall convertor

IIRC most of the 800bhp Supras still run the standard crank and con-rods. A very serious engine. Anything that can be tweaked to over 1000bhp is pretty cool in my book

Is the CR low enough as standard to run the required boost?

Seriously over-engineered piece of kit. Shame they skimped on the brakes.

Crikey. I'm impressed. I wouldn't put more than 300 on a 3S before wanting a heavily rebuilt engine.

But then I would see how much you can get out of the standard engine.

If it goes bang then you haven't really lost much. You were going to replace it all anyway.

Unless of course you put a rod through the block - then you've lost something.

3rd gen actually has a metal HG, so that's cool. The problem is almost always detonation in piston 3. Water injection stops it for a bit, but I wouldn't be happy until I'd rebuilt the whole thing.

Crank is good for at least 600bhp, as is the transmission apparently....

...........and the clutch is good for?

Found that this was an area for destruction in the R33,so I've fitted a Nismo R32 GTR one(same fit),built like a tank & good for 400 plus bhp

Now? About 350lb/ft.

Stock starts slipping at about 280lb/ft.

Fennies 600bhp corolla runs a drag clutch, for fairly obvious reasons...

My MRT ran 280lb/ft in high boost, with a spurt of 290bl/ft in 'overboost', I presume it was the stock clutch, and it survived 15-20 runs at Brunters... didn't even smell a bit. However it's a fair bit lighter than the GT4, and probably doesn't have the same stresses put apon it like the 4wd rally slag.

Yup.

Damn near 300lb/ft of twisty force meeting four sticky tyres, and something is going to give......

....it's usually the clutch. And it stinks.
