Japfest 2005 who's going?
Discussion
It's the GPX - it was (badly) resprayed in japan - they removed the mivec sticker on the drivers side.
It's recently been re-done with the sticker & other stuff patched up.
it's got a few tweaks, and running about 205 bhp, but the tip box saps sooo much!
You coming on the track then??

205 eh?
sounds good from a tip...
might give it a miss on the track as i have naff brakes still..
removed front discs, replaced with camskill drilled, new pads, geometary(sp.) check, so i still have a rampant rabbit vibrations on slow down from speed...
you de-catted yet? if not its a must..
have an Apexi N1 exhaust, and Apexi induction kit, recon it should be good for 210-220 ish..
Yeah - that's how it's running at 205. ITG induction, de-cat, mongoose and re-mapped ECU to run on the crap fuel we have in the UK. It only has about 125 at the wheels though - due to the servier lack of efficiency in the transmission... Most noticable at lights when people in little 1 litre minis can out accelerate me to about 15mph Still, it does the business and gets to about 85 in 2nd
Stuck some strut bars on it too, and played with the geometry a little, but as it's mostly used on the road, I'm going to change that back to standard as it's very twitchy on the crap roads I use.
Went along with Don Palmer a couple of weeks ago to Bruntingthorpe, and it kept up the pace with the two 911s there, and they both said the engine sounded fantastic. I was mildly proud Although my breaks were smoking after, and theirs looked like they'd just done a run to the shops!

I'm there and will be on the GT4OC stand.
Come and say hello.

Japfest 21 May 2005 at Castle Coombe Circuit.
Whose coming then.?
It would be good to know where ppl & their cars are gonna be,for saying HI maybe will draw up a list nearer the time.
I think it would be good to try pick a time & spot for everyone that wants to meet up en-masse(eg:1.30pm at quarry corner). What you guys think?
Agreed MrE ,Quarry & esp Camp corners are prob the busiest-that was just a suggestion really.Personally I like the top-end,the'esses & that part of the track best & its usually fairly quiet,'cos nobody bothers to walk up there+ good spot for photo ops.
I'm open for choice of meeting place & time tho.
Any more suggestions ladies & gentlemen?
