Sadly, one of my neighbours died last year and the relatives asked me if I could dispose of his car for them.

It looked a sad old thing once pushed out into the daylight, flat tyres, flat battery, no fuel…

But I noticed it only had 31,500 miles on the clock and the interior, though dusty, was hardly worn!

Turns out it hasn’t been on the road since 1999!!!

So, I may be mad, but a new battery, plugs and air filter, plus some of Shells finest she started. New rubber all round and she even went through a MOT with no advisories!

Not sure what to do next with her though??? I’m sure it’s not exactly a classic, but part of me just wants to run around in it for a while, so retro lol...

More to follow...

Same sponsor, different model, these are later Carina Es.

My sister had a Carina 2 for years, spent about 50p on maintenance in that time.

If I was the OP I'd be keeping it. I always had a soft spot for the old Carina.

I would love to keep the old girl, we already have 4 cars in the family and I may be hard pushed to convince the Wife I need a 1990s toyota as well lol...

I have already had the comment "What on earth are you going to do with that old thing!" :-)

I happily drive that.

Not sure I'd pay anywhere near the prices that have been mentioned already, but if I found it, I'd happily keep it

You don't think it's worth £1250?
