Hello all,

I hope there's someone who can help me.

I've a Honda Logo that's failed MOT on rear ABS sensor.I'd like to keep the car on the road (cash flow issue). I thought a new sensor wouldn't break the bank, but Honda say they are only aware of 6 such sensors still in existance, and it'll be £300.

I can't find one in a breaker's yard - at least online searches of breaker's yards aren't turning one up.

My question - how can I fnd out if I can use the ABS sensor from another Honda model. Or will Honda have already taken that into account when they say only 6 left... I am not sure how part identification works - do makers carry over same parts from model to model?

Thanks for your help and advice.

The ones I have found on google are front abs sensors - please post a link if you find a rear offside abs sensor. Thanks

Yes lots of car manufacturers will share parts over with other models but its down to them which ones they do.

Do you have a part number? Can you see the part?

I looked here and couldn't find any mention of a rear ABS sensor just the front ones and a modulator.

Honda part number for the right hand rear sensor appears to be 57470-S50-G01. As the OP says, it is discontinued and there also appears to be no direct pattern part equivalents.

However it's quite possible the same physical sensor is used on other Hondas, but with different cable lengths/brackets/connector. Unfortunately I can't even find a picture of this sensor, apart from the line drawing in the link above.

Hi. First post on here and replying to an old topic from 2018. Bit of a forlorn hope but I wonder if the OP ever found the part he was looking for as I now need same part for my wife's Honda Logo. Part is same one left side rear ABS sensor. Honda no longer supply the part and despite Google searches looking positive they are only for front sensors. Our garage is also trying to locate one without success.

The car is despite being 20 years old relatively low mileage and runs well so really want to keep it on the road. My thought is that an early Jazz has as similar rear drum brake and has other similarities so may fit but this info is not published anywhere and I don't know whether one would be available

My thanks for reading this far and for letting me join.

Only thing I can offer is that the contemporary 1st gen HR-V is based on the Logo platform, so might possibly share that part?

I think this was probably the best bet. New sensor for different model spliced to old cable.

Everywhere I looked listed 57475-S50-G01 as discontinued and no stock.
