Aha think I might have said hello to you & your dog a little white fluffy thing that did'nt mind the noise?
So that was you!?! Nice to meet you (v.briefly). She didn't mind the noise until the Jet cars went off!!! I thought she was gonna crap herself!!!
Iaint I thought it was an excellent weekend, and will definatley be up for helping organise a PH stand for next year.
The only thing I would suggest is that there not be any RX7's with "For Sale" in the windows, as that is too tempting!!!

That was me I had to borrow the DriftAcademy car for the drift battle finals as I broke mine.
don't think the clip I have was.. as it was directly after (or before, can't remember) your run.. well the one I have on vid anyway.....
I've uploaded them to PHTV.. and am awaiting release/confermation or whatever it is that you have to wait for....

Anyone else who went got any feedback? It's always useful to have for next year's event. We're already aware that the trade stands were a poor turn-out... fully 70% failed to show up on the day!
As for the actual action seems like people enjoyed it.
Obviously more trade stands would have been nice, especially something like a rotary engine specialist who could put a potential buyers mind at rest about running a rotary (although saying that I had a chat with the club guys and they were quite helpful)
The only real downside for me was seeing people donuting on the grass by the drift area (predominantly non RX owners it must be said). Although they were fairly well out the way, any accident due to stuff like that could make it very difficult for events like Rotorstock to be held again which would be a great shame.
Hopefully I'll be back there again next year, with a RX7 of my own if things go to plan!!

I was stood right next to them. They were out of the way, but why drift a car on grass when there is a designated area for drifting 20yards away??
Needless to say, the cars had Chrome wheels and "banging" stereos.
Who mentioned something about security??

That's sorted for next year. We now have a guarantee from the track owners that they'll enforce the Jap and Rotary only rule.
that sound very promising.. it was the only thing that spoiled it a bit for me...
hopefully they'll be able to rally round more support from other owners clubs etc too...

The two biggest 'complaints' about the day were the lack of trade stands and the non-jap cars going down the strip (not helping themselves by being dull, slow and breaking down!!!).
The other that's come up was a lack of support from the liners, scoobs and evos (being about the 3 other biggest jap car groups).
We had great support from some of the other clubs even thouhg some of them had much smaller turnouts than expected.
I'd expect the Skylines to turn up en-mass next year as the RB car will (hopefully) be there defending it's title. Fensport are likely to be there too I hope.
There's some investigation going into moving the drift area so it's bigger and closer - it was a huge success this year.
Lots of stuff to be done better and slicker next time - if the improvement is equivalent to R1 -> R2 then R3 will be really good.
would definately agree about the drift area... could also do with some better spectating areas, as we were held quite a way back, on completely flat ground, so lots was obscured by hay-bales, cones, tall grass etc...
don't know if it's possible there, but having it near the banks so that people could sit on them and have a great view would be good.. don't know if there's any suitable tarmac though...
another good group to get along would be the supras (eh Gaz! ) as they have some pretty monstrous power-machines that are good on the strip...
