Japchat Rolling Road Day (August 7th)
Discussion
Right as always some think comes up... The 300 had its MOT today and guess what its failed
I am hoping to have it all sorted this Saturday fingers crossed if I don't I will not run the car on the R/R.. I still turn up (I will pay for any BBQ food I eat) it be in a rusty MK1 MR2 and if you are down on numbers I mit just run that and see what a 154000 mile car puts out
Sorry for being a pain

We give bhp/torque at the wheels, flywheel, AFR, boost on turbocharged cars.
Been meaning to ask; AFR = Air/fuel ratio?
According to the last MOT mine is running very lean. I tried to adjust it, but did so using a friends' (Halfords) CO meter. Not the worlds' most accurate tool.
It actually warned us that there was a fatal concentration of poisonous gas on my drive. I felt fine, strangely enough...
Is it pay-on-the-day? I think I'll have a go just for a laugh if there are any spaces left on the day.
Don't book me in advance though - I'd rather watch real cars at play than collect a souvenier wooden spoon...
Rover quote mine at 130bhp, Carfolio say 120bhp, given that it's done over 100,000miles I'd guess it's even lower than that!

i wouldn't be surprised if i end up with that one.....please save me from the humiliation!
Less than 120bhp? Oh dear...
I would book in now but £40 is quite a lot to pay for public humiliation; especially when my computer has blown up, the council are demanding LOTS of money (following a tax blunder) and my TV license/elec bill is due very soon indeed.
There's also the small matter of the MRT to sort!

Yes, AFR is airfuel ratio, we have a wide band Lambda sensor and can graph it.
Its pay on the day.
Cheers,
Charlie.

Have you tried the washing up liquid trick for the boost leak?

Have just tried it tonight, on the pipes that I can see and no luck I think I going to have to give up on this one.
See you all on Sunday at 11.30..
