....because despite me trying damn hard to abuse it for the last 3 years not one thing has gone wrong

....because it revs high (okay S2K guys not 9000 but high enough) and given the right combination of exhaust/induction kit (soon) will give me 'wood' when I go through a tunnel

....because it's quite nippy to say that the original concept was for it to carry shopping.

....because pensioners occaisionally tell me when I'm getting in mine that they once had a Civic, "Cracking little runaround, very reliable and sensible car young man." "Really?" "Mind your hearing aid grandad." WWWWOOOAAAARRRRRPPPPP!!!!!

....because I have given in to trying to act sensible. If I have been branded a hooligan because at every opportunrity I get on VTEC and sound like a learner driver then so be it. I can't be bothered trying to be PC anymore, I get dirty looks from uptight women in mother-mobiles before I've even turned the key. There was a time I would do it in private when no one was looking (listening) but these days I can't be bothered and let the revs go F1 crazy all the time. I remember reading a story by Clarkson about how he was sitting in traffic in a high street blipping the throttle of something loud just to hear the mechanical symphony that was under the bonnet. An old dear in the bus stop said, "Do you mind?"...and he didn't so he carried on!

... it genuinely scares people when I accelerate on full throttle in a straight line... which means I'm driving perfectly sensibly/safely/within the speed limit.

Mines' only a baby, but then a lot of my friends don't understand this whole 'sports car' thing and I love their reactions when I nail it.

I've never driven anything else that feels so willing to rev, and the kick as the second cam comes in is addictive.

It's ability to utterly humble machines that should humliate it is fantastic; as is it's ability to doggedly keep up with very expensive cars that want to leave it far behind.

It has a slight Q-car thing going on too, as nobody seems to think a 1.6 rover (honda engine) could be deadly.
