Best looking Japanese cars over the years
Discussion
Objectively it's the RX-7 for me, delicately beautiful... however I'm a Toyota fan and I'd go for any of them especially their stuff from the 80's, right now though I like these two despite being modern:
Crown RS Advance
Mark X GRNM (6sp manual, 3.5 V6 yes please)

Some lovely looking cars posted already.
Just some thoughts and musings. I always thought the 350z had great proportions, and for me personally better than the 370z.
RX8 looked the best in Prodrive guise. I'd definitely have one as the small changes really gave it the edge the stock car lacked.
Of my own Japanese cars, I cannot say the 3 MPS is particularly good looking, subtle and effective styling. The 30th Anni ND MX5 is a good looking design and one of the best modern Japanese styling efforts.

The odd thing about Japanese cars is that , unlike virtually every European car except early 911s and MGBs , they look wonderful in white. From Toyota 2000 GT to Integra and MX5 ND they look fabulous in a colour which normally does few favours to a car's appearance.
And for cool looks how about the Honda RA 272 F1 car from 1965 - 1500 V12...

The 3 did go with a gaping mouth look which didn't do it any favours, but there have been some good ones too.The 323f looked amazing new, I was always surprised they never made a monster version given how it looks:
The latest one is pretty good for our safety conscious times and, again, no Type R or RS version
Left field choice here.
Datsun 240k GT

Soft spot for old Datsuns........

When the 370Z first came out I definitely preferred the 350Z, whereas now I prefer the more modern looking shape of the 370Z in comparison to the 350Z. I still really like both though. LaurasOtherHalf said:
Very, very few beautiful cars on this thread. Plenty of interesting ones, but beautiful?
Not too sure, I forgot the 240/260Z and the Toyota 2000GT.
The Mazda 323 above? Like a modern day interpretation of an Austin Princess or Maxi. Atrocious (Soul Red is a stunning colour however)!
I had a 323f briefly and thought it looked pretty good for a car from 1996 with some curves - even if it was a pretty poor drive! Unlike the Princess and Maxi that were both designed using a ruler! Not too sure, I forgot the 240/260Z and the Toyota 2000GT.

Still looks are subjective.
