What an absolute pile of tripe posted by so many people on this thread. Not everything has to be performance oriented or look the same as everything else. This car is an absolute piece of genius in marketing -

People who want a fashion accessory city car
People who want a classic car but wont trust old technology
People who want something individual
People who want a cheap runabout

When you manage to cover that sort of range with just one car, youve got it right. So its not fast - who cares? does it look like its meant to be fast?

But its a TURBO!! Booost it, and put it on slick tyres! Woohooo! Seriously. I think it is aimed at those that want a 50's, or 60's looking car, as a fashion statement, but with the reliability of a modern car. can't really see the problem with that. Maybe you chaps are just trying to hard to hide your sexuality?

I have an irrational hatred of the Nissan Figaro.

To make it worse, I usually see at least one per day on the way to work. Seems to be 2 or 3 well kept examples 'round here. Still hate them though...

I think they're great. They make me smile. At least some people aren't just going out to buy a eurobox.

Exactly.. Some people are a little too bothered with things that may not be to their own taste

Spot on.

My girlfriend has had hers for over a year now and she absolutely adores it. And, you wouldn't believe the range of people who stop her and ask her about with a genuine interest and a smile.

Look at it this way; it's economical, nippy, seats 4, full leather interior, air-con, fold-away roof, CD player and looks a bit different. That's a lot for 5 grand.

What's all the hating? Jesus, some people really need to get a grip.

I gotta add, although the increase in numbers is scaring me somewhat, I dont actually dislike the car.

Wouldnt catch me driving one, but I do think they are kinda inoffensive (IMHO).....

.... but why are they multiplying at such an alarming rate?

Like kittens, prefer fully grown ferocious monsters like the one attempting to headbutt me in a quest for munchies... And I like Figaros! After all the abuse companies get for the eurobox designs, and no creativity, they make this carl, and get slated... No pleasing some people!

Rabbits are inoffensive, and they multiply, well, like rabbits!

I think most of us would be very surprised at just how quick they are in a straight line. Turbo nutter cars the lot of them.

Actually that's one of the funniest things about them. Off the line, up to about 40mph, they are actually surprisingly quick. You should see the look on people's faces when a car they expect does 0-60 in a couple of weeks leaves them standing.
