Well an old one really, I bought my old Purple car back to fix up as she isn't too well. The 3 Years she has been away haven't been that kind to her. I will get her back in good health ASAP as the Spec list is simply awesome.....

Nah the turbo on the car is Fubar I think, but I have a lurvely Garrett GT4088R in my Garage that has a black chrome compressor housing. It wont be too laggy at all, and if I get really silly I will get the anti lag set up on the Autronic.....

BTW Gaz it was a Precision T74 GTS before. I wouldn't have a T78 or T88 through choice.

That is a big turbo! Looks like you have a serious Supra there. The only part that i'm not so fond of are the wheels. Other than that, it seems spot on.

Actually I love the wheels, they are very light.

If its a GT42 it's probably a GT4202R which is a 76mm compressor wheel, which is still a proper lump.

The GT4088R won't spool as fast as the GT35R, probably as much as 500rpm slower, but when I tested it before it still made 10psi @ 3000rpm in 6th, so it's not too bad. This engine is lower compression, so it will actually take a fair bit more boost on road fuel, but spool a bit slower than a standard compression 2JZ-GTE.

It was with the 74 on, with a T70 it made 690bhp @ 25psi ( that was on a proper engine dyno, not some spurious hub dyno), with the T74 it would have been higher. I am not shooting for those figures as like I said to you before Gaz, they are not much fun to drive unless they are on a m/way etc.

I ran Kuhmo 285/30/18 V700 before ( R compound) but I dont think there is enough sidewall give. I will swap for 295/35/18 and see how it goes from they. I may not keep the car, I just couldn't watch it fade away. Silly really.

Hi,

I lost interest in the Supra this year, it's been tucked away in the garage gathering dust....I doubt if I have done more than 500 miles this year.

I will drag the old girl out in the spring and see if my enthusiasm returns...if it does then I will be back for TOTB6

I have no idea Gaz, I am in the middle of an extension at home so no real time for toys, but as soon as I get her running properly I'll see how I feel. I would love to try VMax, but this car needs some serious silencing. It is by far the loudest Supra I have ever heard. I have 2 No. 4" in-line silencers at home, if I can fit them somewhere it maybe a possibility.

It's a screamer Gaz. It runs a 4" DP now.

Charlie, it looks bigger in the pictures. The comp inducer is only 64.8mm. It's built to the hilt so can throw a proplerly big one on if you want

It will be nice when it's done Jamie, at the moment it's not a patch on the black one to drive. I will have a play with the map over the weekend if I get the chance.

Good to hear you got it back Terry.

Are those the Burns mufflers that were sitting at Phoenix you were going to install?
