Discussion
I know this has been before.. but i cant find it!
I have the Judder problem appearing on my MY2000 impreza..
spoke to the dealer last night, he recos. a new clutch, and flywheel..
app this is a common problem on 4wd's and often needs new flywheel too?
also - any recos. for a good specialist near staines/heathrow?!
thanks

maybe its just me but i find it a nightmare to find anything on that site!
just read the first 15 pages.. a few with same problem, but they just have the same advice as above.. burn the clutch out?!
ill give it ago.. but as the clutch is obv. gonna need replaceing eventually.. is it a good idea to do the flywheel as well?!
had this on my my00 impreza which i owned from new.
mainly noticeable on startup when cold and damp only really in 1st gear. after warming up it goes away.
its still on the original clutch even now after 45k miles
basically i would simply advise you to leave it and live with it.
i have heard of people having replacement clutches under warranty for this but sometimes even this didnt fix it.

spoken to mkg 3000 (twickenham - any good?) they reckon 900 quid for new clutch (jees!)
.. anyway he suggest some 'safe' agressive driving helps the problems some times, so ill give it ago..!

that is a lot of money IMO, I wouldn't replace the clutch for this reason but if you want to do not put a Subaru one in or you will just end up with the same problem. Someone like www.milsport.co.uk could recommend the correct clutch
