Hmm I don't mind Lexus hyrbids, namely because they don't look like them. They just look like ordinary cars. There not there to show off that you care about the environment, I'd consider one because of the technology. LS460h, GS450h, RX400h? Slightly less informed than the prius set I think.

Ali.

Agreed. UNlike say, the Prius or Insight, it doesnt look loke you're driving a hybrid.

BUt isnt this old news? i saw in the second best mag ever [SCC] that the LF-A was going to be hybrid, i thought (like a month and a half ago)

P.S.> Evo is best mag ever, but i cant afford it .. $100/yr. eek

That's a great effort from Lexus - a good looking sports car who's looks go uncompromised even with the inclusion of the hybrid powertrain. Well done Toyota I say.

It is often said, quite rightly, that new technology gets included in premium cars and then filters down. I'm thinking of all the gadgets that Mercedes in particular have included in their E class flagship models, then these have been seen on everything. ABS, airbags, traction control etc all came down this route. I believe that Toyota have a good strategy here that will make hybrid technology more acceptable and credible, and given us a glimpse of the near future as we place less reliance upon the internal combustion engine. And that car is sexy too - which is the most important thing of all! Would I have one? Definitely.

I wonder if they'll add their auto parking gizmo to this model?

I also wonder how many owners would trust this gadget to park their new £100,000 purchase!

apparently it's all in the electronics...the Hybrid tag gets u tax relief (handy!), but get the electronic control unit to turn on the electric motor as well as the petrol engine..loads of power!! no fuel economised!! That's us lot happy!!
