Time we had pictures of everyones Japanese wagons
Discussion
The Altezza RS200 Z that my brother bought rather spontaneously arrived in the UK a couple of weeks ago. So far all the paperwork has been done and I think we have everything ready for an MOT which is the last step before number plates can be issued. Honestly, the whole import process has been straight forward and not half as expensive as we expected.
First thing to do was get the rear fog light modified, then swap the wheels over as the ones it arrived on from Japan were ugly & had completely ruined tyres on. As a temporary measure we swapped the 18inch wheels from his IS200 onto the Altezza and some standard late spec Lexus 17inch wheels onto the IS200 - the "Steiner" branded fake splits which appear to be "designed in Japan, made in China" are going on ebay!!
Then then there was time for a quick wash to remove a few months worth of crap, I'm pleasantly surprised at how straight the bodywork is.

Next plans are more cleaning, a full underseal/yellow paint/clear waxoil combination for the underside/inner arches, then fit a few parts which have been cluttering up my living room.
-- HSD coilovers
- lower arms
- Apexi intake filter
- Fujisubu exhaust manifold
- Blitz NUR spec R exhaust
- TRD High rise rear spoiler
- JDM Number plate surround
- Vortex roof spoiler
- Blitz rad cap, spark plugs & oil filter
- Full Toyota service kit
- New Altezza badges front & rear

Super rare in yellow too. Great stuff!
You know those cars that are "Meh" at best until you see one in yellow? This is another. Nice.
I saw a yellow Honda Jazz a while ago and thought of doing an H22 transplant in one for poos and giggles.
Indeed the yellow colour is what really makes the car, me & my bro spotted a load of silver ones and plenty with no bodykits fitted an thought if you're going to buy something unusual you've got to be bold.
Personally I love yellow cars and would be happy to have more, - i always keep an eye out for them - ive got a saved search on AT/ebay for yellow/manual/rwd/sub 8sec 60
A Nissan that isn't a Skyline
I got some new tyres, so of course I had to pop down to the local riverbed tracks and give them a little test.

Lovely Altezza. Talking of your AT/ebay searches, do you get many hits for 350z GT4's? The colour looks a bit dull on grey day (as dull as a big yellow car can be anyway) but really pops in the sun.Indeed the yellow colour is what really makes the car, me & my bro spotted a load of silver ones and plenty with no bodykits fitted an thought if you're going to buy something unusual you've got to be bold.

Fancied one of these since I saw them in a magazine aged 15 when I found out If you bought new you got a PS4 and a copy of GT4, so much so I memorised the E33 tricoat pearl yellow paint code!My old one:

Gran Turismo was the reason I always wanted one too, although I was unaware of the Gran Turismo edition until I stumbled across my one. I was originally looking for a blue one! Didn't come with the playstation/game though Gassing Station | Japanese Chat | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
