My first of hopefully many JDM cars.
P.S. if anyone can help translate some Japanese documents I'd be grateful. Don't need entire documents translating, just a confirmation of whether the timing belt has been changed and when.
I found the timing belt sticker on my JZX using Google translate live on my phone. They tend to used Western Arabic numerals so it's not too hard to spot the right number ballpark.P.S. if anyone can help translate some Japanese documents I'd be grateful. Also congrats - fine looking machine. I am the same as you - love both my cars from Japan.
If you can get the googletranslate app as it's ace, can also use the microphone to do speech - how I found out that my car will wish me Merry Christmas and then Happy New Year
Konan - this is my "I don't want anything else" JDM car, if I do replace it it'll be with another Crown;

Just watch out for the year, it may be the Japanese calendar year, so you might think something was changed in 2017 when it was 2005.

The stereo in my 110 occasionally says stuff and shows me pictures. So far, I've collected a temple, a radio mast, a volcano, Buddha and, most recently, two peaches.Konan - this is my "I don't want anything else" JDM car, if I do replace it it'll be with another Crown;

Be interested to see how it compares to your old FSTI. What age is the new one 06?giblet said:
The live camera option on Google Translate is pretty nifty
Even has the option to import in an image
I think that's almost right, the scan just missed a '1' digit on the month so should be 8th November 2018, rather than January.Even has the option to import in an image
(Dates are generally written Year-Month-Day in Japan, so Year 30, Month 11, Day 8. Year 30 is 2018 as per the Japanese calendar link posted above, Month 11=November, then Day 8).

A few pics of my ST165 that I purchased around 8 months ago as a result of sitting inside one when I was a little nipper for so many years! The plan is to restore this car to its former glory and drive it over to the south of spain to surprise my dad with it as he doesn't know I have it. He can't keep the car but he's welcome to drive it
And a couple of pictures of what my dad had. I actually took these outside his house in 2006 when he moved back to spain, he didn't want to sell the car so he drove it all the way over there, where it lasted a few more years then it overheated and cost him too much to repair, so went to the scrappys, he owned it for about 15 years though.
Do you still own this slopez? (The gt-four)And a couple of pictures of what my dad had. Bit late, but I sold the car back to TGT. Looks like it got snapped up straight away.

Thought I'd posted in here already but apparently not
2001 DC5 Integra that I got imported through Torque GT (secured the car mid-2020, but because of Covid lockdowns it wasn't until early 2021 the car was ready). It was completely standard when it arrived. Since then the only changes I've made are a new audio headunit (original one was very temperamental) and a Spoon wide-angle rear mirror. I did install a Spoon shift knob as well, but thought it was worse than the OEM one so I've gone back
2nd JDM car (had a S15 Silvia in 2013) and loving it. Needs a few bits tidying up but it's in surprisingly good condition for the age.

Imported my Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution literally just before lockdown 1. Paperwork came through from DVLA about a week before so was able to just get it on the road. Great fun trucks to drive. Repainted most of the car to get it into good condition, new badges all round and some preventative maintenance. No rust on this one fortunately. Handles surprisingly well for a 2 ton 25 year old truck, LSD front and rear with suspension that feels quite firm on the road but the faster you go the smoother it gets especially on rough surfaces. Being designed for the Dakar I guess its meant to hit big bumps and smooth then out.
