600: You'll be needing more than 500bhp in a Skyline to keep up with your Cerbie. From what I remember the Cerbie has 350bhp/ton (420 bhp, 1200kg); to get that bhp/ton in the 1560kg Skyline you'll need 546bhp.

However, the Cerbera's more slippery shape will give it an advantage at high speeds, so the Skyline will need even more power to overcome it. Your logon name says it all: "600" is how much power you'll need.

That amount of power is quite easily acheivable as long as you have a bottomless wallet - budget around £20k. My opinion: stick with the Cerbie.

Forget all about 420bhp. The standard 4.5s have around 330-350bhp on a dyno, the RR models have around 400bhp. Also they weigh more than 1200kg (closer to 1300). However the slippery shape will count at high speeds.

Contrary to popular belief the R34 is not that cheap to tune. Even Stage1 (about 450bhp) will need exhaust, decat, induction kit, cams, PowerFC/FconV and then need to be mapped on a dyno.

The R34 is heavier than the cerb but much easier to drive in adverse conditions.

How much for 600bhp? I'll let you know

I did have a big advantage though as I have 600+bhp.

Niiiiice! (we really need a drool smiley)

I'm dying to know how much it costs to get 600bhp....

I'll have a stab at 10k if you do all the work at once (saves labour) on a Skyline, or simalar turbocharged car.

10k! More like 12k for parts only for a decent setup. Then labour and mapping on top. Also if you want the headwork done as well, then thats another couple of k's or so.
But for me, I've chopped and changed so many times on parts that its still not finished. With the money spent on mods that could of got a new M3 with spare for nice ICE! Expensive hobby!
