Xenon light question

My 2010 E90 has the old xenon lights with yellow corona rings. I have seen a number of newish e92s with white corona ringed xenons (not LEDs).
Question is can I change my yellow lights to the white version?
You can't change them for the newer BMW ones, but you can change the bulbs with aftermarket ones to get a whiter light, but they won't be as bright as the OEM BMW ones. In fact they will be less bright than the 'yellow' ones you have now.Question is can I change my yellow lights to the white version?
It's all down to the design of the older vs. newer lights.
