Great price if the car is a goodun!

Have we seen a softening in prices of late? Feel like they were a lot more last year?

Mine is still going strong(ish) - Just nothing much to report at the moment!
Maybe E61 prices are falling off a cliff due to the arrival of the G30? evil

Glad I got out when I did! whistle

I can remember when the e39 540 was worth nothing. It took a couple of years to change. Maybe the market will wake up to these and maybe it wont. Who knows?

It now appears to be £4900.

I mean, that is effing cheap.

While it's not an E61, it's something much rarer. An F11 550i!

Love it. And I'm always one to defend high prices of these things... but. But. That is 7 years old and they are asking 35k! Yes it has awesome spec and is effectively a unicorn but jeeeesus christ.

Plus it's got a whacking great rusty towbar and they are curiously about 5k out with the quoted mileage.

The point I'm making is I bought my E61 550i at 6 years old and 60k miles for 13k. That F11 550i is 7 years old and 40k miles and is 35 thousand pounds. You can get a brand new F31 340i Touring for less.

There is no planet on which those figures are sensible.

I am intrigued that the ad is very precise on the mileage (36,829) but the dash blatantly displays over 40k!

Love the individual colour. Is it actually a unicorn? I thought there might only be one F11 550i.

Lovely thing but crazy money!

V10 M5 Touring and a healthy bork fund would be my choice...

Has anyone bought (or looked at) the 'cheap' e61 550i yet?

Might be the only one in that colour, but when i was looking (around the time you bought the 535) there had been at least 14 F11 550i's registered in the UK, as opposed to around 70 F11 535i's.

Showing as exported on the Autotrader link - anyone know what that would mean in this case? Special order from abroad? Services vehicle?

Ah, cheers - not sure where I got the idea there was only one F11 550i from!

I completely agree, but it is really rare. So rare I doubted my BMW beard wondering if they did make an F11 550i in RHD. In the past couple of years I've seen more Alpina B5 tourings for sale than 550i models. With this model there's a bit of a case of 'Show me another one for sale' syndrome going on. The towbar does fold away though! wink

I'm just saying unicorn in that it's awfully rare, apologies for causing the confusion. I reckon 14 sounds about right, and some have probably gone abroad.

It's alright, I'd always thought there was only one for some reason. Not misconsruing your use of unicorn!

Statutory exhaust emission in cbs should be removed from the list (for all markets apart from China).

The seller doesn't know and doesn't have the reg/ vin of the car it came off and it's the other end of the country from me (Bootle) to take a look.

Oh and don't ask: I need a replacement for an '05 rear bumper in Mystic Blue frown
