I had my first excursion a couple of weeks ago: drove down to the Alps to meet my new nephew.

Tunnel over to Calais then straight south on the autoroutes, the Emovis Tag makes a massive difference with the tolls.

Stats for the route down above, forgot to take a photo when I got back!

Come on, ATM. You need to set the clock so you don't always have the 'triangle of doom' visible!

I bet with the big V8 it saves its own cost with fuel too! Slowing to 20 and then back up to 80 is excellent. Especially at the big tolls where the queues can be awful.

It forgets when I turn it off so I've given up. My car has a few little gremlins but keeps on trucking.

Clock doesn't remember the time
Sat Nav disc reader bust
AC doesn't work
Little glass boot lid refusing to open
Slight rough idle occasionally
Using a bit of water now too
Valve stem oil seals obviously
Clunk from front suspension

Time for a new battery? Do you get the increased discharge warning?

Occasionally yeah but car starts fine.

Do you drive it much? Mine was doing similar, always started fine, but the HUD wouldn't work, the clock always reset and other minor issues, but it had been stood for a long time. When it went in for its MOT it was charged up fully and they commented it had mostly been below 86% charge, so was shutting down systems to preserve enough power to start.

If you don't use it much, it might be worth trying a battery tender, or biting the bullet and getting a new battery.

Mine was very glitchy as well.

New battery sorted it.

I got a genuine BMW one of the bay of dreams for 120 quid.

The same battery from my local dealer was 240!

Euro parts and the like wanted 350 to 450 for one.

Mine had been stood with occasional drives because being a 550 it had been up for sale for months and months.

Are they easy to change?

Looks well buried in the back there.

Also I have seen some water sloshing around in there down by the battery. So I might have a leak there too.

Do you cut a hole in the floor and then lower it out?

That is an option, but I would recommend lifting it out if it was my car

Good find. Reminds me of one that was on Autotrader for a similar price? Might even be the same one (it sat for ages, crap photos)?
Could well have been posted already - not sure. If I see a 550i T for sale I post it. Simples.
Ha I wasn’t calling you out - just wondered if anyone else recognised it!
Just hurry up and buy it
Looks like it has now sold, nice looking car, good spec and colour combo including the blue paint and black interior.

Did they really only sell 7 into the UK?
