One sold recently and was listed on eBay; if you go into advanced and select 'sold' and search BMW 550i you'll be able to pull it up; think it was listed for c£8k and had been extremely well looked after & maintained etc
I think I remember yours Mondeo. It started off at 13k and slowly went down over months and months. What you planning to get next?

Good timing - I'm in the market for one and also Midlands based. I've sent you an email.

It must be fate - I drove an E61 for the first time in years today and was quite surprised at how nicely it steered and handled. It was just a 525d M Sport LCI I was considering as a stopgap solution, but it was certainly much sweeter to drive than I remember my '05 525d manual SE being. I've had a 535d F11 since but didn't really gel with it, I felt it was too autobahn-optimised and quite boring (albeit sledgehammer fast). My last company car was a XF Sportbrake 3.0 diesel which was far more engaging to drive. Whilst I'm rambling I also think the packaging of the E61 is better than the F11, particularly for rear seat passengers.

Nothing too fancy, its 2009 so its LCI, with removable tow bar, lane departure warning, space saver, 189k miles, needs a service and a few minor bits (vacuum oil seals, cornering light controller, 2 x rear PDCs). 4 all season tyres with about 5k on them

I might tackle my vacuum oil seals. I think lane departure is standard on the LCI. Do you have the factory fit retractable tow bar?

I'd be interested to know this as well - my HUD has completely given up the ghost, pushing the on/off button doesn't work and the fuses all appear to be in order from what I can tell. It did spur me on to fit the android iDrive replacement at least as there was no longer any incentive to stick with the factory nav which worked on the HUD, but I do miss the speed readout as it goes....
My HUD wouldn't come on initially due to low battery. The button did nothing, but it would come back after about 20 minutes. Since going on a 200 mile drive and using a battery tender, it is back working fine again.

Could it be similar problem?

Yes, factory fit towbar - its a great car for towing. I've had 3 tonne of gravel and trailer on it, still pulls really well smile

Hardly comparable but when mine is just fully loaded inside it feels exactly the same as empty except when I start hammering the brakes. They start to give me signals they don't like the extra burden. The big v8 just says that's easy you fool.

Sadly not - I had experienced similar in the past but the car lives on a trickle charger now, battery is relatively new and definitely 100% full but one day the HUD just stopped working at all, been like that for over a year now frown

What you thinking for a value now? The mileage will scare people obviously. As an owner I dont want to talk down values because thats just not good form.

I'm thinking RRS V8, maybe. This one was totally reliable, just want a change now.

I absolutely loved mine. thumbup

It had a lovely feel good factor about it for me. Plus it made a lovely noise. smokin

I used it as my daily and it got through fuel like crazy. I'd still love another one now though, but just to cherish/use occasionally.

Good find. Reminds me of one that was on Autotrader for a similar price? Might even be the same one (it sat for ages, crap photos)?
Could well have been posted already - not sure. If I see a 550i T for sale I post it. Simples.
Ha I wasn’t calling you out - just wondered if anyone else recognised it!
Just hurry up and buy it
Looks like it has now sold, nice looking car, good spec and colour combo including the blue paint and black interior.
Seller of silver SE still selling this blue sport too.

First posted by me here on 13th July. Relisted here

No idea. Can't you enter the reg on some websites that sell this stuff and they'll tell you which to buy?
