Excellent news, well done on sorting. A clean MOT at that.

I had to leave a metal piece off which was used for cables management - pic - as it was fouling on spoiler and preventing it going on. So now it needs fiddling when i want to close the boot - the cables that is - perhaps I'll try some cable ties.

Good work, although you're the harbinger of doom - within a week of you originally posting up about doing the cabling my glass hatch & rear demister stopped working, I suspect I'll be following in your footsteps to rectify those very shortly laugh

I apologise profusely.

I wouldn't recommend the wiring kit I bought. I paid more expecting quality but it wasn't that great. Hopefully my endeavour will be helpful in this regard, sir.

I now have a wiper problem. So the front wipers will no longer do the slower speed. I thought I noticed them getting slower and slower. At first I thought no I must be imagining it. But then they started juddering, so move a bit then stop and so on. Today they stopped altogether. And also the fast peed is intermittent. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. This is no fun when it is raining so I will need it fixing very soon.

Caffeine and Machine open their new venue The Hut at Meon on 17th March but are predictably sold out.
They are however running Strassen Kultur on 20th from 1700hrs on.
I'm booked to attend - anyone-else?
NB Just be aware that due to hooligan bikers using the cafe opposite there are average speed cameras and marked/unmarked plod units in the area!

I miss my e60 545. Immaculate and low mileage it sold for £2.8k last autumn - it also had the valve stem seals done.
I would love another - e61 even better - but people are asking more than what they are worth.

Darren Woods the man himself called me today. He has figured out the cause of my misfire. There is a control unit for the vavletronic - I hope I got that right - which has been sat in water and is nackered. When he pulled the plug it also disintegrated. So he will fit a replacement used control unit off ebay and a plug repair kit from BMW. Then he said we'll see 'where we are' which I'm hoping is we're in the land of working cars.

I've heard nothing but good things re Darren Wood; I'm sure they'll have it sorted soon enough
