Thought I'd stick up a quick pic of mine on its new wheels, these are E92 SE wheels but I think they suit the compact well, they're also a nice little upgrade :-)

still 17s and running my tyres from the original wheels so 225/45 front 245/40 rear, they are still staggered but instead of 7.5" front/8.5" rear as per the originals they're 8" front 8.5" rear.

The are also ET34 on the front and ET37 on the back, so 38mm increased track on the front (inc the slightly wider wheel) and 28mm on the back, they fill the arches nicely and feel like they've had a positive effect on the handling.

I like those. Was thinking of some 17's for mine as currently running on 16" E60 wheels which are square but again give a slightly wider track.

There are options but it does narrow down quite quickly if you want staggered and not to have to use spacers, which is what I wanted.

This is a great site to use to find styles you like and to check the widths/offsets.

As a reference point the original sport wheels are et47 7.5 front and et51 8.5 rear from memory. One I'd love to see on a compact would be the 216s which are the bmw motorsport 18's found on the 320si and were an option on other E90s, though these are A. hard to find for a good price and B. not cracked.

Happy with my 203bhp without remap then! Still interested in the map though, do you have a graph so I can compare?

Well facelift Sport models aren't exactly plentiful so you could wait a long time for a better one. Saying that the differences are purely cosmetic - SE and Sport both had Sport suspension and seats, the differences are the front bumper/splitter, rear bumper and wheels.

FWIW I sold my Imola Red pre-facelift Sport (in a photo above) on 103K miles for £1,450 in February, also with a non-working rear wiper but the deal included a working wiper motor I hadn't got around to fitting!

Check the MOT history, service history and condition and if it still looks good try to do a deal.

My nephew had a black facelift SE on an 03 plate with sunroof that he sold at 65K miles in 2016 for £2,000, but it did have limited history and a bit of dodgy paint.

Whether you go for this or another one, good luck with your search. thumbup

Looks strong money to me, for 2200 I'd expect a very nice one with no issues and some of the common bits sorted.

Rust on the door and the bumper crack puts me off, although both my bumpers are now cracked mad
IMO the attachment of the bumper is poor and allows too much movement, the corners are stress points and will crack.
As for the front bumper, no clue why the middle cracks. Haven't driven into a kerb or anything, must be a previous repair cracking.

Fitted a new genuine BMW window regulator, made no difference. Window goes up on one touch, goes to the top and drops right back down to half way again. Anyone got any ideas ?
Thanks

Is it "dropping" down or is the motor winding it back down? My passenger side window failed because the after market cable got chewed up in the winding gear and as I'm rich i opted to replace the gear and cable mechanism rather than the whole regulator assembly. I was a royal pita to get it back together so share your frustration.

Try disconnecting the motor from the mech and making sure the window is all the way down and the glass slotted in hard to the two plastic hold clips, then wind down to dead bottom and try again. Actually thinking about it the motor just turns and turns on the switch press so the top must be sensed on a torque switch, maybe that is broken in the motor and the plastic gear in the wonder is being chewed up...

Tl:dr no idea sorry.

Everything is fine otherwise , the window goes up at the correct speed, not sticking or slowing, the glass is clipped in to the two plastic holders correctly and everything would otherwise seem fine.
On using the one touch function it will roll up and close, but then immediately wind back down to around half way and stop. I have to hold the switch until its closed and then release. Both the gears on the motor and the old regulator are fine.
Thanks
