Personally detest sun roofs, always leak and ruin the looks of the car!
Was supposed to change my diff seals this week and rocker cover gasket, looking like next week now!

Hopefully the weather stays nice until I get around to doing it
Touch wood, not had any leaks so far in any of my sunroofs!

Sunroof tilted and rear windows open is just lovely driving around the country lanes. Also nice to leave tilted while the car is parked in the heat. The downsides are there though, fortunately mine also hasn't leaked.

I’ve been lucky I think that none of my factory fit sunroofs have leaked
Had a leak from an aftermarket one though

I know what you mean though Re the heat - mine is Sapphire Black but sunroof ajar, blind 90% shut means that it is fine parked in the sun ....plus a light interior

This has been on AT a while, I assume it will be 6 speed? Looks fairly OK.

Yep will be a 6-speeder

Not on its original 98 style alloys

I've looked at that one a few times (have an alert on Auto Trader for these) and an 04 plate with facelift rear lights has to be a 6-speed. I love the red interior, but it is a bit leggier than I would like - mine was only on 103K when I sold it 2 years ago.

My nephew had a 53 plate facelift with the optional glass sunroof and loved it, but then he became a parent so it was time for a Touring!

And his was an SE model like the one in the advert (rectangular front fog-lights are the giveaway) so it had 16s.

Style 98 wheels are "square" 17s (my 320td Compact had them as an option) and Sport models like my 325ti came with staggered 17" Style 97s.

Are facelift rear lights an easy switch with pre facelift?

Wish mine did, I love a see-through roof...
Not for me, extra weight and the rigidity suffers on track smile

Yep, straight fit. I got a pair for mine off eBay, £25 well spent!

Mine is red already, so the back is a bit mono-shade, but I hate the early lights.

Mine was a pre-facelift but I didn't mind the early rear lights on a red car, although I wouldn't have wanted them on any other colour!

£25, they seem loads more than that now!

Mines a red car too.

I quite like them on my silver car, also because others don't and they are a bit different!

That's way nicer. Might do that on one of my seat handles that's a bit iffy. What did you use?

I bought a bottle of gtechniq c4, really expensive for what it is but i only used 3 drops of it per handle.

Will make a huge difference to the wing mirror trims and the scuttle when I get around to it.

+1 for that. I did my door mirror trims with it and they stayed black until I sold the car over a year later!

I'm on the hunt for a square setup 17 x 7.5 Style 68. Can i just confirm that these will clear the 330i calipers i've bought?

I'll be able to run 225/45/R17 tyres is that correct?

Style 68 i understand are the strongest / lightest 17" BMW wheel...

Thanks
