I think Style 68s fit the bill.

I did consider them but most seem to be staggered and I was hoping to run square.

I also have the same issue, have you got them yet, and if so where? Also do you need to get from BMW or are are the cheaper versions ok? Any advice on this from anyone would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the 325ti front wings are the same as the other compacts? Mine are finally starting to rot and looking for possible replacements.

Thanks in advance, I wasn’t able to find anything following a quick Google.

Seems we might be on the market for a Compact and seeing some 325ti’s out there for OK money. If anyone knows of a decent example coming up for sale, please let me know.

Purely a second/spare car to get from house to park and ride/train station but no reason for it to be a car lacking in fun factor. Always had a soft spot for a compact and the petrol ones are ULEZ exempt, in Scotland anyway.

Making enquiries about a 318ti in the meantime…

I’d try and hang on for a six pot if you can - either 2.5 or 3.0 that someone has added in

I'm in agreement with s m - I'd definitely hold out for a 325ti.

While I've never driven a 318ti I did have a 320td for a few years and once I got my 325ti I realised it was what I should have bought in the first place. rolleyes

Never mind, got rudely shot down when I mentioned the search for 6 cylinders. Even though she has a soft spot herself for the old Compacts the final nail was insurance looking to be about £450+ for even a 318ti. I've just agreed to buy a local 1 Series Coupe instead this evening.

Carry on without me... I shall spectate from afar... *sighs heavily*

I guess the 1 coupé came out somewhat cheaper than the 318ti …plus a fair bit newer

Bump.

Interested in replacing my mk2 TT with one of these... RWD and 6 pot yes please...

However. One on eBay for £5k - 96k miles - good MOT and service history.

Is £5k too much? Not the bargain they once were when this thread started it seems...

Would prefer a 330 with 220bhp but a £5k one would probably need a couple grand spending on.

Prices have gone mad!

I bought my Imola Red Sport on 80K miles from a trader in December 2014 and got a fiver change from £2K. eek

As much as I loved mine I wouldn't pay £5K for one - I'd put it towards a 130i instead! smile

Those days are long gone.

I'd love a 130i but there doesn't seem to be many 3 doors about which I prefer.

Tell me about it! That's why my current daily is a 2005 E90 330i so the same engine as a 130i, but 4 doors - much cheaper though.

Would an early E92 330i work? I might have suggested a 125i with a remap, but they seem to be pretty expensive now.

Now you mention it - there's a 125i local to me on 112k. May as well go and view it. * google's remap figures *

Speaking of higher prices, mine's up for sale for £6450 ono, although this is only as it's had a crazy amount of work completed, basically being a complete restoration, with 1000s spent on parts and 100s of hours of labour! I don't think a normal 325ti should be much over £3k, unless it's exceptionally well- cared for...

Finally finished the car off with the oem Xenon headlights. It’s nice to be able to see at night now.
Took it to BHP for the first time since the rebuild. Was great to be back. The chrome grills have been replaced for the standard half chrome since as they look much better IMO

Not yet part of the 6 cylinder compact club but I have dreamed about building a 330Ti for years as a more daily alternative to my E46 M3.
When this 318Ti came up for sale in this spec I had to grab it, perfect base to become my 330Ti.

Alpine white, alcantara laser cloth interior, no sunroof, xenons, all the msport kit, I put the style 216Ms on it but they'll get new tyres.

It will get all of the 330 bits, brakes, diff, axles, along with the engine and a ZF 5 speed gearbox.
