E70 Headlight Adjustment for Driving in Europe
Discussion
I have a 62 reg E70 X5 and in the past I have stuck the converters on the headlamps for driving in Europe.
I was looking through the user manual today and I saw that you could adjust the Halogens (car does not have Xenons) by moving a lever on the back of each lamp cluster. So... I took the back of the cluster off (what a pain the ar$e that is, by the way...) but no lever as shown in the manual!
Anyone out there with any experience of this? - any advice appreciated!
Thanks

Not had an X5 but my E46 and Z4 both had this adjustment - it can be very difficult to see though! Perhaps worth popping to a local friendy BMW indie, they might be able to point it out?
Bear in mind procedure for halogens and xenons is different - I've only ever had Xenons. Those were fairly easy to change over. On the xenons it was a simple, albeit hard to see, lever.

I asked the same question of my dealer last year as the manual does seem to imply that even the Xenons on my E70 could be changed but when I spoke to them they said no, and explained the lights create an even spread of light and that their was no need to change them. I suppose you could take it to the dealer to have a look or just buy the beam benders instead?
