They both tilted down when I first picked up the car, now only the near side mirror dips down.
Are you absolutely sure both dipped? I'm on my 3rd F Series car(currently a 4 Series), all have had folding mirrors, but only the passenger one dips (or is meant to dip).

The same was also true of the E90 and E46 predecessors.

I'm pretty sure as I remember thinking to myself, ooh, not sure I can totally see behind me now and good job I had the reversing camera. I'll never be 100% sure though.

Your experience is the same as mine! I've had various BMW's over the last 10 years or so and on all of them it's only been the passenger door mirror that's dipped down to look at the kerb when reverse was selected - the driver's door mirror hasn't done that on any of them!

Hi guys, I'm looking at a Sept 2015 one of these to replace my M3 and have a couple of questions.

- Do these come with Xenons as standard? I can't find anything to say whether they do or not!
- The main reason I'm thinking of selling the M3 is to reduce maintenance outgoings and a change in commute which is now a 28 mile round trip at an average of 60mph. Am I likely to see 35mpg+ with this car? If not I may as well keep the M3 smile

Re the headlights no - They are either Halogen which is standard or LED which most have as an option (Part of M Sport Plus pack).

Ref the mpg that's difficult to say depending on driving. Look back through this thread to see variations. I get 30mpg on mine over the first 7k.

Has anyone got the M performance LSD? Or at least considering it as an upgrade?

A few pictures of champagne quartz, courtesy of KDS, after they finished their work:

- the colour looks very accurate in this picture:

- this one has slightly muted colours, or too much blue, not sure:

- just ignore the Aventador SV and Exige S in the background, you want to pay attention to the 5 seater with the big boot (sort of) wink

- I think in this picture it looks a bit darker than reality:

That looks lovely however your steering wheel appears to have moved into the passenger seat wink

Just ordered a 440i M Sport Convertible - with huge discount - but dealer never mentioned the PPK - is it available on the 4? Can't find anything on BMW website or the configurator...

I am not sure to be honest but please report back when you find out.

I am interested in the pack too.

Can you let us know the discount you got. I am keen to know if support is currently better than the 24% I got when ordering last October?

Discount works out at 22~23% once I take into account options, etc, so pretty much the same. Popping in to dealers later, will circle back once I've spoken with them.

Popped into my dealer and spoke to my salesman, who had never heard of it - either on the 3 or 4 series! Says he's going to look into it... Perhaps it's specific to certain dealers???

Hi All,

How are you all getting on with your 340i's? Any problems at all?

Nope. Mine is now on 9k and has been faultless in the first 6 months.

Just returned from a two week holiday in the south of france, Monaco and the Alps and it was perfect. 2300 miles with ease including a 13 hour trip home doing 810 miles in one go.

I wasn't even that tired when I got back ( a few power naps on the way) though.

Excellent car so far.

Good to hear thumbup

Mine was 5500 assembly complete today (ordered Feb - been a long wait!) so look forward to getting behind the wheel in a few weeks.

Been hearing lots or reports of creaking door seals, so glad to hear your car is ok in this respect.

Is it worth getting the more expensive service pack? The one that includes changing brake discs.

I'm thinking the basic one is good value, so will get it before 60 days after delivery date. But wonder if I should add about 1k more and get the Inclusive Plus.

By chance I had already asked for the lower service pack for my X5 however on reflection and bearing in mind I intend to keep the car 4 years or more I've now opted for the full pack.

It's difficult to confirm the maths either way but my man maths would suggest having the car fully covered is a no-brainer. If you go through disks and pads for example (as I will) I'll get no change from £1500 or more and the difference is only £800 from the lower pack.

ultimately it depends on your finances and the ability to pay up front and save some £'s yes

I'm thinking of taking the run flats off the car whilst they've still only done 1100 miles and replace them with some 'normal' tyres.

Anyone done the same? Any tyre recommendations?
