Been searching around to see if we can track the missus new 435d cab.

I eamiled the dealer about delivery and could we track it but all i got was "august build for sept delivery". I cant find anything on bwm site. Google comes up with lots of old threads and it can be done in the USA....

Any experiences? I cant believe in 2016 its a "no" or some kind of hack with VIN numbers and shipping containers!

I've been tracking my M140i pretty much daily (it's landed in the UK biggrin )

You need your order number from the dealer. Once you have that go to the BMW configurator and start building a car. The genius live chat box will pop up, start a chat and give them your order no. and ask for a status update. The will give you the status code and description along with the current estimated build & delivery to dealer date (these can bounce around quite a bit).

BMW Order Status
0000 - Cancelled
0097 - No Current Event Allocated
0037 - Model or Feature Unavailable
0077 - No Quota Available
0200 - Special Request not Scheduled
0500 - Cannot be Scheduled
1100 - Scheduled
1200 - Scheduled for Production
5000 - Confirmed for Production
5050 - Chassis Number Allocated
5055 - Confirmed by Production Control
5100 - Bodyshop Start
5190 - Bodyshop Complete
5200 - Paintshop Start
5270 - Paintshop Complete
5300 - Pre-Assembly Start
5400 - Assembly Start
5500 - Assembly Complete
6000 - Transfer to Distribution
8200 - Released to Carrier
9000 - Departed Plant
9605 - Pre EU Port of Exit
9615/35/45 - In Storage
9610/20/30/40/50/60 - In Transit
9610 - EU Port of Exit
9615 - EU Storage
9620 - At Sea
9630 - Port of Entry
9645 - UK and IE Storage
9650 - Awaiting Dispatch to Dealer
9660 - Dispatched to Dealer
9800 - Arrived Dealer

Mine is 1200 according to the dealer and due with them on the 12th September

I only have a dealer number and AG number, are either of these the one I need?

I think it's the AG number. Should be 7 digits.

Currently "5050 - confirmed by production control" woop woop

Production is scheduled for wc 22nd and delivery 12st sept - 3 weeks from a unpainted pile of parts to uk dealer sounds very optimistic??

Anyone else waiting for a September delivery??

You're exactly the same as my regards status 5055, wk 34 build and wk 37 delivery.

I think it's entirely feasible that you'll get your car week 37, if not at some point the week before.

My X5 was built 2 weeks ago and is expected at the dealer early week after next, so just under 4 weeks from build.

I'm told to some degree it's nothing more than luck and catching an earlier boat however BMW have been so on the ball from order I'm surprised if their system doesn't have a minute it's due scheduled in to the dealer yes

They must have a pretty good idea so I would believe them yes

Got a call yesterday and my car is at the dealers, so under four weeks from build to delivery and that included a trip across the Atlantic.

Did I want to go and see it I was asked.......

It appears they can build, ship and deliver quickly if they want to!

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck communicating with BMW via the web chat to check their order status recently? I can't seem to get the web chat to work anywhere on their site, tried different PCs, browsers, internet connections etc.

Or if there is another way to check order status any info would be appreciated.

I have contacted my dealer but they are I guess a bit overworked at the moment perhaps and don't get back to me with any info. I'd like to find out for example if it is in the UK or not before I push harder with the dealer.

Cheers!

As much I despise twitter its great for things like this.

I have a different car on order (audi), they reply to messages within 24 hours with much more detailed info than my dealer (can be bothered to) does.
