Two warning messages and 3 lights just came up on my car. Car drives the same and all pressures are fine in the tyres.

simply does anybody know what it could be (i.e. a common fault).. no warranty plus its going to be a struggle getting it to a specialist at the moment. its an LCI E92 330i if thats any help

How is your battery?

A battery on the way out or low on charge can cause all kinds of glitchy warnings.

If it was me I'd get the battery checked and codes reset and see if they reoccur. Could just be one abs sensor on the way out.

RTFM. You need to read the fault memory, common causes are wheel speed sensor, corroded reluctor ring, faulty pressure sensor in abs/dsc ecu

Looking online i was reading about a steering wheel sensor in need of replacement.

But now thinking about whilst sat in the car the other day (waiting to pick some one up) the radio and car decided to switch off not long after i turned the engine off.

Also just taken it out and the ABS did kick in at one point which was strange..

This sounds very similar to what im currently experiencing with my 120d. I get the tyre pressure warning light come up, followed by the TC cutting in around bends, even very very slight ones and then the abs light comes on. Have you get your tyres changed recently? My car was fine until they two rear tyres got changes so i was maybe thinking they damaged a wheel/abs sensor...must investigate when i have time.

Had this on my Seat and it was a common issue on VAG cars. The wheel hub rusted which then damaged the ABS wheel speed sensor. New hub and sensor (came together anyway) and all was well again.

Do these cars have the Teves mk60 system? That is a known issue many cars too http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/caradvice/hone...

My E92 M3 in today for exactly this.
Diagnosed as a faulty front wheel sensor.
Had the same issue last year on the other side, cost £250. £90 part I think, £90 for the diagnostic (basically to plug in a f3ckin laptop) plus labour.
Unfortunately I've got £250 excess on the BMW warranty otherwise think they would have covered it.

Part needed ordering in so pick up tomorrow. Car was ok to drive though, just like driving with all the toys off but I'd be careful in the wet.

Little update, I rang the local speacilist at lunch time and he said to bring it in tonight which I have. he's done diagnostics and thinking the same that it's this sensor. So it's going in tomorrow night to (hopefully) get fixed.

What trickywoo said.

A failing battery caused all sorts of codes on my e92, including the dreaded steering lock fault.

Check the simple things first.

My M3 is just back from the dealers, so those same warnings for me was a front pulse transmitter (ABS).

Looks like there's a bit of fiddle in the figures on the bill as warranty picked up part of the total, taking it down to my £250 excess.

Be interesting to see how much less your Indy charges.

I'll let you know tomorrow, a slight delay in getting parts means it'll be done tomorrow afternoon

Cost me £130 from auto tech performance in Telford. Opened up today just for my car due to a small delay getting the part, in and out within half hour.

Top marks from these guys, went well out of their way to help me.

What was the cause in the end? The same as Trigbert? Front pulse transmitter?
