Good find. We've never said much of E93s, this looks value.

Looks nice. At this age, would it be an N52 or N53? I don't see a photo of the engine.

Also seat heating is a nice feature on the Convertible which is looks like this lacks, but otherwise appears to be a v nice honest car. SE probably much nicer on a cab than the rather harsh M Sport.

Edit to add...not that far away from me. scratchchin

Not one hundred percent but the advert states 270bhp and its a 2007 model so it is a good chance it is the N53 I think.

Had a quick look about and concluded that the manual seems to carry a premium of £1k - £1.5k.

I'm not keen on the brushed trim, but the parts are all easily bought and swapped.

How comes, I'd have thought they'd all have the same output in the 3 Series?

If it's genuinely an N52, I'd be quite interested to look at this. I've sent the seller a text to ask.

Good news, I'm thinking of selling my LCI manual 335i, sadly only an E90 not an E91...

I was browsing the cheapest M4's recently too and it was good to see that the manual commands more money(£2-3k more) than the DCT. It does just go to show that the manual is still very much sought after. cool

That's interesting. From what I could make out in the E90/2 M3 threads, DCT was the desired option.

Manuals on the M4 much rarer?

No, N52 outputs vary according to the model.

BMW quote outputs in PS - 258 for the E90 & E91, 265 for the E92 & 93. Also 265 for the facelift Z4 and the 130i. No idea why there is a difference! confused

BHP outputs are slightly lower at 255 and 262 IIRC.

But in a 3 Series BMW quote 272 PS for the N53 engine, so I'm not sure where 270 came from?

The easiest way to tell which engine they have is the CO2 emissions. The N52 in any 1 Series, 3 Series or Z4 will be in Band K for road tax, but 3 Series with the N53 seem to be in Band H.

Shame it's gone BTW. frown

DCT was the most desired option with the E9x M3 for sure(I went for the manual with mine though), and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the M4 in manual form was the more sought after. As you say though the M4 with a manual is incredibly rare, whereas the E92 M3 had a year(ish) before the DCT was introduced.

By the time that the M4 was launched though everybody and their brother wanted a DCT...so there are hardly any manuals to choose from sadly.
