Thanks chaps. It was a massive faff but managed to drill the buggers out and get the new badge on.

Good work. I really dislike changing BMW roundels, often a massive faff and you have to be obsessively careful to avoid damaging any of the surrounding paint.

I forgot to mention - thanks to the advice given a few pages ago, I managed to successfully replace my rear window regulator last weekend. Total cost to fix? £20 for a second hand part and a total of about 1 hours labour (including the temporary bodge to hold the glass in place whilst waiting for the part to arrive) smile

Not an E91, but thought I would share this as looks like a nice example (no link to seller) at a fair price. I believe these early 330i SE's were pre-Sport but had an upgrade package that fitted 18" wheels (love this design), sports suspension and sports seats with lumbar. The electric rear windscreen blind is a fun option too!

I saw that too and it looked in lovely condition and with some nice options such as bi-xenons and the full integrated blind kit for the rear and rear side windows (including button-operated electric on the rear).

Bizarrely the eBay ad appears to have changed to a completely different car, which is something I've never seen happen before. I had added the car to my watchlist on eBay and was rather confused as to why I had an E46 coupe on my watchlist (as a current E46 coupe owner I'm looking to change as the coupe no longer suits my needs so I'm hardly likely to be interested in buying another!). I can only guess that the E90 has been sold and they've edited the entire ad to avoid paying eBay fees for a new ad irked

Standard small time eBay trader tactic.
That and/or listing multiple cars on one listing.

I tend to find buying genuine parts from Europe better VFM than over here, even when postage is taken into consideration, try these:

Purely out of curiosity what sort of economy can you get from the 335 on a decent m-way cruise? Is it much different from the 330 in that regard?

From memory, its a bit worse than my old N52 330i, so 31/32 on a long run at 80 ish.

Think my average over the past 4k miles or so is 27 - thats either town driving, or motorway to the in-laws, not much in between.

Its a low tax model as well, so £300 or so.

That looks so nice. A lot of money compared to what my old povvo E91 is worth but as someone who's never owned a car on less than 80k miles, that's basically brand new to me.

Looks lovely, nicely specced too. Xenon lights are surprisingly rare on the 330i, electric memory seats even more so. It has to be manual for me, but I'm sure there will be plenty of interest in that spec.

It looks like an ex police car with odd wheels. I’m not a fan I’m afraid.

Auto gearboxes were so popular on the E9x for sure. You hardly ever see a 330i or a 335i with a manual gearbox.

325i manuals are quite common
Im sure in the future people will be dropping in the 3.0’s into manual 325i’s. For the n52 its a straight engine swap and remap.

When I was looking for an E91 in 2018 there were quite a few manual 325is around, but hardly any 330is of any description and they were all silly money by comparison.

I left the Autotrader alert running and early last year my E90 330i popped up. Manual with the split-fold rear seat option so I went to see it and talked myself into it! Bonus points were it had Xenons and the glass sunroof as well as a retro-fitted DAB tuner - sadly no heated or electric seats though. frown

But I'm really pleased with it - the difference in performance is noticeable.
