Looks lovely, nicely specced too. Xenon lights are surprisingly rare on the 330i, electric memory seats even more so. It has to be manual for me, but I'm sure there will be plenty of interest in that spec.
Thank you. I searched for a long time to get what I was after, manual would have been great but to honest I’ve come to like the auto after all these years.

When I was looking for an E91 in 2018 there were quite a few manual 325is around, but hardly any 330is of any description and they were all silly money by comparison.

I left the Autotrader alert running and early last year my E90 330i popped up. Manual with the split-fold rear seat option so I went to see it and talked myself into it! Bonus points were it had Xenons and the glass sunroof as well as a retro-fitted DAB tuner - sadly no heated or electric seats though. frown

But I'm really pleased with it - the difference in performance is noticeable.
You have a 330i? You should have said sooner.

Hello! Enjoyed reading the last handful of pages here... had a nice '06 325i manual that lasted me 77k to 125k miles before a taxi ran up the back of me whilst stationary.

After dragging out the use of a courtesy car for 5 weeks and cycling another 3-4, I've found myself a replacement '05 325i auto for very good money. Very pleased with it, Xenons, panoramic sunroof, folding mirrors, memory seats. It was a Japanese import early 2019 at 45k and now sits at 65k.

Indeed I do, but what do you have? You haven't posted a garage. Maybe some sort of Dacia? loser

Apologies for phil's derail!

I have an Octavia vRS, having previously owned an E91. I thought about getting another E91 this time but the much bigger boot and better equipment of the Octavia swung it for me.

You seem to think I'm mocking your choice of car. I'm not. I'm gently ribbing you because you mention it every week or so on here.

While I'm here why do you think Dacia drivers are losers? That's a bit snobbish isn't it?

This is a priority. The approximate cost was factored into the sale price so now I am looking for businesses that carry out this sort of work near Edinburgh. I've never had it done before so would appreciate any advice on the matter! All I've heard so far is "Preserve and Protect" out the other side of Glasgow but they get great reviews!

Depending how handy you are you really could just do it yourself? Otherwise I know there are a few importers this way so ask who they use.

Other than that it takes less time
to get from edinburgh to the other
side of glasgow than it takes to cross london so just take it there!

I quite like the idea of an Octavia VRs, especially as I have a relative working in the Service Department of a Skoda main agent! But I don't need the space, and being the age I am I grew up with RWD and just prefer it. rolleyes

And I also prefer a manual gearbox which is probably why I've had BMWs for over 15 years - so I suppose I am a bit of a fan!

I don't think I ever used the word "loser" in the context of Dacia owner but they just aren't usually car fans! You get quite a lot of car for the money, but they just don't seem to offer any excitement.

I suppose I mention the 330i because that seems relevant to this particular thread - I'll try to resist! thumbup

Spotted what initially seems like the ideal spec E91 for sale: 330i manual N52.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114461101969

Unfortunately it's a bit "Barry". Deep dish wheels, stretch tyres, coilovers, etc. Apparently it's also a "motorsport" E91, whatever that may be. Needs someone braver than me to take it on!

It's not White leather, it's Lemon. But each to their own for the modifications.

Spec is nonexistant for one of these. 0 options.

Well, there's one less good one. Rolled arches, rubbing rears.....what a waste.

In fairness it just needs wheels swapping and the suspension raising... as long as it's got a decent set of coilovers?!

Put it back on stock suspension and wheels with decent rubber, then yes, you've undone some of the damage but not keen. There's a whiff of drift-yo about it which is very off putting.

ETA. Just checked and the coilovers are £250 for the set. Must be awesome.

The standard suspension isn't the best on these anyway (thank you run flats) or would be tired at this age so I'd see it as an opportunity to improve the car.

Standard wheels are cheap enough.

I'd consider that one but only at £3k or so. His BIN price is silly.

I'd actually be tempted to run one on SE suspension on non rft. I think that would be a decent setup on today's roads.

My 55 plate SE drives and rides OK, but it is still on run-flats so possibly could be better.

I just tolerate run-flats for the convenience factor. rolleyes

I don't think RFTs are that bad but depends on the tyre in question imo.

The Goodyear F1 RFTs are a massive improvement on the OE Bridgestone RE050A tyres. The ride on the E91 (M Sport suspension) is actually not terrible and the car handles well. I've mentioned before that given it's the wife's car (often complete with baby in the back seat), I consider RFTs a safety feature so it'll continue on them.
