Proud new owner of an E91 2011 335i - only 24k miles. Absolutely love it.
Goes well with my Z4M. 2 very different cars, equally great to drive for different reasons biggrin
I’ll be getting the E46 sorted and up for sale shortly, which has also been a joy to own.

2 lovely cars there. thumbup

But I might be a bit biased as I've currently got a Z4MC and an E90 330i.

Saw that up for sale but didn't move quickly enough before it had sold. Looked like a nice spec. Congrats!

Thanks! Maybe like you, I’ve been watching the market for quite a while waiting for a spec like this. So I acted really quickly!

Did a 500 mile round-trip. 4 average size adults. 38 psi on all tyres. 50000 miles N53 engine. It returned only 25 mpg at 70 MPH.
80 % motorways. 10 % 30 mile zone. 10% 40-50 zone.

No faults and had 1 injector replaced under warranty recently.

I would say that's poor, but it depends on the route and traffic conditions too. Weather didn't seem bad for fuel economy (in the south) today either.

I'm almost sure it's poor fuel economy. But can I give the car to bmw to investigate for that without any error.
I thought 35 mpg at 70mph was easy for long distances.

To sell or not. Just under 12000 miles per year. In 2 minds.

Funny thing is it delivered high 30s with leaking injectors.

Any roof racks with bikes or anything that will increase drag?

Only other thing that I can think of is DISA valves if it's anything like the N52 - torn membrane can let more air in which will upset the mixture.

No extra accessory. Or is it a difference in winter vs summer. 10 mpg difference?

What are you using for a fault code reader? Duff nox sensor will kill mpg.

Presume you checked for binding brake?

Very poor for an n53 so somethings amiss. I get that around town in an auto f10.

Im looking to move on my GROM MST3P + BT dongle (MOST connector), whilst the functionality is great with the idrive inc. steering wheel controls I find via bluetooth the sound is lacking with Logic 7 in comparison to the (apparently awful) aux input.
As I also have usb input from factory, the usb port on the grom unit is of no use to me.

If anyone is interested drop me a PM.

In other news it appears my swirl flaps are leaking, whats the consensus of keeping them vs blanking them off? Tempted to remove them and re-seal.

Re swirl flaps. I’d remove them and fit blanks. I’ve never seen any difference with them removed.

I’ve just been forwarded this link regards an E9* recall for models manufactured between 20 July 2004 and 8 July 2011.
It’s dated 19th March, but apologies if it’s been discussed prior to this date...

Is this not the same blower motor wiring recall that was issued a couple of years (ish) back? It certainly sounds like it. A load of us on this thread including me had that fixed at dealers. Still the only time I've darkened a BMW dealer's door...

Same. Although I have a couple of mates that work there. I only go in for recalls and to collect parts.
