None at all!

But it's part of the service book, it's pretty much handing them a reason to not honour my warranty should I ever need it.

I'm trying to cover my arse
If you're that concerned, get the discs and pads changed by BMW and then you can stop worrying.

Could I just point out that there is no such thing as BMW brake pads. They are a bought-in component just like light bulbs, tyres, wiper blades, spark plugs etc. My car came from the factory with Texstar pads fitted. The OP is worrying about nothing.
Do the genuine BMW pads/discs not have a BMW part number?

My cars going in for approx 2k worth of work tomorrow. Will let you know if they notice the pads were not done by a VAT registered garage. I filled the screenwash myself too. Fingers crossed!
