E39 high milers
Discussion
I've had two E39 Sport's and loved them both. I said I'd drive them until the wheels fall off since I couldn't think of a better car for the money. The only thing that's always been a bit of a problem for me was the lack of power. They aren't the fastest things in the world after all. So after many years of E39 ownership, I decided to get a 335i. I can honestly say it's every bit as good, and better, than my E39's were. It's also nice to have something with a bit of poke again.

Real world driving I always thought my 540i was more than adequate for the road, always the M5 too...kiethton said:

Oh yes having a V8 under the loud pedal would certainly make for an exciting drive. I only had a lowly 525i and 530i though. The 335i is running around 400hp and 420lbft so will be similar to the M5 performance wise. Probably slightly faster due to more torque and weighing less.My 523i has recently hit 200k miles, but it's not been without huge expense (evidently I bought a bit of a lemon...!).
