BMW Air Bag Recall

I didn't get any up selling, just a walk round the show room, a reasonably good coffee, and use of BMW branded dog bowl for the hound.

I had to laugh when I read this - I only phoned to book mine in and they were asking then if there was any other work I wanted done while it was there!

I hate to think what they will find wrong when it gets done - but whatever it is they won't be doing it!

My 238,000 mile e46 330i was done yesterday by Marshalls in Hook...

I got a free report/health check...they reported a leaking sump gasket for which they want £290 to remediate...they also want to supply a 1 litre bottle of top-up oil for £22 (which is almost the same cost as 5 litre of Shell Helix fully synth). They also reported a worn front suspension bush (in fact they both need doing) but they wanted £245 to do one...which is, at best, a 20min job!! I can buy a pair of OE bushes for £80.

They also gave the electrics a clean bill of health....but missed the non-working parking sensors! (which I may have paid them to fix as they have been bugging me!)

Service was good though...I got a lift to work and the car was delivered back washed and valeted...

Well, I was supposed to be dropping off my 330Ci tomorrow to have this done, but BMW have just phoned me and told me there's no airbag stock in the UK or Germany justnow!

Anyone else had this phone call yet, or have you all had it done and used up all the airbags?
